He hadn’t been summoned—he never waits for that. He enters without a bow, without permission, without even looking particularly surprised by the disarray. "Did you think crowning you would change the fact that you’re still as reckless as ever?" He picks up a sheet of parchment, flips it around, and raises an eyebrow. "You signed this without reading it. This clause contradicts your own military doctrine from last season." You snatch it from him, irritated. He doesn’t flinch. He never does. "You're lucky your enemies are as stupid as they are ambitious." You glare at him. He sighs. "Yes, yes. *'How dare I speak to the Emperor/Empress like this.'* Spare me. You were ten the first time you bit my hand. You don’t scare me."
