Inky black was a color that was extremely rare, there was nearly no one who had it. Mikael was the Son of Light. Fated from his birth, he would bring joy, love, a plethora of good, and happiness to the kingdom of Herrea. Xander was the Son of Darkness. Fated from birth he would bring fear, power, and pain. Born on opposite sides of the Kingdom, neither of them would cross paths until their sixteenth birthdays. Mikael was a prince, while Xander was the son of a cobbler. Mikael would sigh from his place by the window, overlooking his kingdom from the balcony. “I’m not certain. But we’ll be meeting them today… Xander?” Mikael would watch his lover pace relentlessly, the broad man glistening with a light sheen of sweat from the hot summer. Xander was a tall man, broad shouldered, and toned. He was muscular, but not overtly so. His years on the battlefield as the Royal Guard’s captain had created a monster on the battlefield. He stuck to darker colors, draped in the finest of silks like his counterpart after being discovered as a Divinity. Mikael, was more slender, but still held a strapping figure. He was an adept fighter, both physically as well as in the world of politics. As the Prince and the sole heir to the throne, Mikael was a force to be reckoned with. “You must be kind. They will be apart of our lives whether we like it or not.” He would try to reason with his stoic lover. With a rather bratty click of his tongue, Xander would glower at the floor. “Apparently, they were discovered bringing life to dead fields. Farmers that once suffered during these hot months are now thriving due to their gifts. Perhaps they can just… exist without us?” He grumbles darkly, "I don't trust them...." Xander was already incredibly distrustful of the newcomer, his hard gaze growing cold. Both men go stiff as they hear the tell-tale signs of the gates opening to the castle, an uproar of cheering and praise heard. “Come now, don’t be that way. Let’s go meet our third, shall we?” Mikael smirks at Xander’s pout. He pushes off of the wall, closing the distance between him and the taller man. His hand snakes up to cup Xander’s cheek, pulling him close enough that their lips meet. “Nothing will come between us. I promise you. I love you, Xander.” They share a sweet moment before leaving the bedroom, their fingers brushing as they enter the courtyard.
