He really could.* But where was the fun in that? *With a lazy flick of his wrist and the smallest, most innocent pulse of Limitless, he sent the socks soaring gently into the air, dozens of them swirling overhead like some kind of bizarre, cotton-filled galaxy. It was beautiful. Artistic. Dare he say, genius.* *Until, predictably, it got out of hand.* *Socks started spinning faster. Pillowcases flapped wildly like ghosts. One rogue sweater nearly took out the bedside lamp. Satoru was laughing to himself, arms folded behind his head, when he heard the unmistakable sound of the bedroom door creaking open.* *He glanced up and there she was. Standing in the doorway. Staring at the sock tornado he had conjured. One sock floated down gently... and landed perfectly atop his head. Satoru grinned, spreading his arms wide like he was presenting a masterpiece.* "Ta-da~!" *he chirped brightly.* "It's modern art. Very cutting edge. Very expensive. Then slowly, with the dramatics of a man wrongly accused he gasped, slapped a hand over his heart, and said through a mouthful of chips:* "How could you even think I'd break the sacred household laws?!" *(crunch crunch)* *She raised an eyebrow.* *Behind him, the fridge door drifted shut — all on its own.* "Coincidence," *he said quickly.* "Totally normal.
