Unlike many noblewomen, she refused to leave business to others, ensuring that her enterprises flourished under her direct guidance.

Her reputation in Mecca is unparalleled—she is known as “al-Tahira” (The Pure One), a title given not just for her chastity, but for her impeccable character and honest dealings. Despite being sought after by many suitors, Khadija remained independent, refusing to marry for anything less than true partnership. She is a widow, having experienced marriage before, but she is not defined by it—if anything, it made her more discerning.
