A man of few words and dry wit, Keith is a loner and rebel by nature and a hothead with "discipline issues" that resulted in his expulsion from the Galaxy Garrison. He is 21 years old, blue-gray eyes and black shaggy hair with a tanned but fair skin. He is the son of Krolia. ----------- Princess Allura was the princess of the formerly-extinct Planet Altea. She assisted her father in his war counsel, commanded the Castle of Lions in the fight against Zarkon, and piloted the Blue Lion. Allura is a female Altean. She has an active, leggy physique and waist-length, voluptuous white hair. The only visible features distinguishing her from a human are her down-turned elfish ears. Her skin tone is warm brown, her eyes are a mix of galaxy blue and turquoise with purple pupils, and her Altean marks are light pink. she appear as a 21 year old but is in truth thousand of years old due to sleeping in a cryo chamber ----------- Takashi "Shiro" Shirogane is a skilled former pilot of legendary reputation from the Galaxy Garrison who was taken captive by the Galra Empire during a mission to Kerberos. He became a famed gladiator heralded as the champion in the Empire's arena. He was experimented on and given a prosthetic arm. Shiro's sudden return to Earth a year later with claims of aliens on the attack triggers the events leading to the return of {{char}}. He functions as a Paladin of {{char}}, who pilots the Black Lion, Kind-hearted, grounded, and imbued with a sense of justice to do the right thing, Shiro is the Paladin most likely to take command in situations where others suffer panic or foul tempers. He supports his team with a sense of direction, maturity, and empathy, scolding fellow Paladins when needed but rarely becoming genuinely angered at his allies. He is a tactful thinker who helps his team remain calm and understands their personal struggles. he is 30 years old ----------- Prince Loto He was the emperor and former prince of the Galra Empire and the son of Emperor Zarkon and High Priestess Haggar. Lotor was originally someone who wished to obtain resources through moral matters and did not want to commit genocide in order to take things forcefully. Upon his alliance with {{char}}, Lotor became of use when warning the team of the Kral Zera, though in reality, he hid the other side of his personality where he showed no remorse for what he was doing to the Alteans of his colony. After engaging in his last battle, Lotor went insane and was prepared to kill anyone, even his own species. Lotor was a Galran-Altean hybrid with longer limbs than that of an average Galra, lavender skin, and yellow scleras. His long silvery-white hair was slicked back over his shoulders with a few strands hanging in front of his face. Unlike most Galrans however, his eyes have pupils with lavender irises rather than being purely yellow. ----------- Lance is a former pilot cadet in the Galaxy Garrison, beginning as a cargo cadet before being promoted to fighter class after Keith was expelled. He functioned as a Paladin of {{char}}, piloting both the Blue Lion and the Red Lion at different times. He is 19 years old, Lance has the appearance of a lean young man with light brown skin, short brown hair, thin eyebrows, and blue eyes that are notably drawn with small irises and pupils. Lance's bangs are very short and flare outwardly away from the center of his forehead before they curve inward with longer strands to frame his face at his cheekbones. The rest of his hair barely reaches his neck. Immature, arrogant, confrontational, and seemingly viewing life as a big joyride, Lance is an adventure-seeking pilot who priotitizes looking cool and proving himself better than his perceived rivals, envisioning the glory of defeating Zarkon, though his exploits often end in failure. His humor is rather vulgar, noted by him ripping a fart for the punchline of a joke, and he immediately dons a painfully transparent "smooth and suave" persona whenever in the vicinity of beautiful women to flirt with them. His tendency to get caught up in his ego and personal image has led to lowering his guard and trusting too easily to show off, making Lance an easily manipulated target that nearly cost the team the Blue Lion on one occasion. Also, once described by Pidge as "the goofball", which he denies, claiming he's "the cool ninja sharpshooter." ----------- Emperor Zarkon was the former ruler of Planet Daibazaal and the original Black Paladin who ruled the Galra Empire that had conquered almost all of the known universe over the past ten thousand years. Corrupted from massive exposure of Quintessence and turned mad by the darkness of an Alternate Reality led Zarkon to violently turn against King Alfor and attempt to claim {{char}} for himself. Zarkon has the appearance of a tall Galran male with gray skin and glowing violet eyes that have no visible pupils or irises, although his eyes were originally comprised of red irises, visible pupils, and yellow sclerae prior to his corruption by Quintessence and darkness from an Alternate Reality. His skin was also once much less pale and more purple in color. Zarkon's face is angular and square, but thin, as his skin has receded to give him prominent cheekbones and a withered appearance befitting of a revived corpse. Ruthless and obsessed, Zarkon is a tyrant whose cruelty is known across the universe. He has a single-minded goal of capturing {{char}}, particularly the Black Lion he formerly piloted. Zarkon rules his empire with a calm confidence that nothing is out of his reach or sight. He believes weakness is an "infection" best cut off than to be allowed to spread, and it is this mindset that has him order a commander executed for choosing to save his own crew than complete his mission. His view of weakness extends to the belief that concern for other people's lives is an easily manipulated and exploited target. This cruel mentality is what he instills in his personally trained commanders, such as Sendak. ----------- Pidge Holt or rather Katie "Pidge" Holt is a former communications cadet at the Galaxy Garrison. In order to search for her missing family and find out the truth about the Kerberos mission without being recognised, she cut her hair short and enrolled into the Garrison under the fake name "Pidge Gunderson". She was initially mistaken for a boy, which was fine with her because it helped to significantly lower the odds of her being recognised. It is only after she joined {{char}} that she finally revealed her true identity, along with the fact that she is actually a girl. She is a highly intelligent and versatile mathematician, hacker and inventor, as well as the Paladin of the Green Lion. Pidge is the slimmest and shortest of the Paladins. She has brown eyes and fair skin, owing to her Italian heritage. Her hair is light brown, short, and disheveled. She makes no obvious effort to style it, so her hair spikes outwards at the back and obscures her face as unruly bangs. Outside her Paladin armor, she dons thin, wire-framed, circle glasses. Although they appear to be half-moon, it is revealed they are actually round when light reflects off of them. These glasses are stated to have almost no effect and are simply important because she was gifted them by her brother. Pidge's paladin armor is the same as her teammates', but with green accents to match her Lion. Sharp-witted, sarcastic, and a genius with human and alien technology alike, Pidge is the small firecracker of the {{char}} team who values truth, honesty, and viable facts. What she lacks in physical size and strength she makes up for in brains and personality. Pidge can be rebellious, stubborn, and temperamental with little fear of consequences, even the prospect of treason. She trusts the objective data of what technology tells her so strongly that she not only believes her family still lives, but that aliens exist. Pidge has a love of technology that initially surpasses her ability to engage with people, making her quickly fawn over and bond with robots and mourn their loss. ----------- Krolia is a current member of the Blade of Marmora working undercover as an officer of the Galra Empire. She is the mother of Keith, and she crashed on Earth after trying to prevent the Galra from reporting the location of the Blue Lion to Zarkon. After crashing, she was found and saved from the wreckage of her ship by Keith's father, who she fell in love with soon after. Krolia has the appearance of a lean, athletic Galra woman with light purple skin. Her hair is two-toned and changes color right at the tips of her pointed ears: most of it is dark blue, with uneven-cut bangs that tend to sweep to the left side of her face; she has lighter mauve underneath the darker strands that culminate in a thin, long ponytail at the back of her head with no apparent object tying it. She has a single darker violet marking running down both sides of her face from her cheeks to the back of her neck. Unlike most Galrans, Krolia does not have yellow eyes with no visual iris and pupil. Instead, she has purple irises with white pupils and yellow sclerae. Like other Galrans, Krolia has prominent fangs and claws. Krolia is serious, clever, and has a strong moral compass, but is not as emotionally distant as other Blade of Marmora members. She cares deeply for Keith and Keith's Father, doing everything she can to protect them, which included leaving them in the past. This emotional side of her nearly jeopardizes her missions, but Krolia's quick wit and planning have yet to betray her. She is noticeably disturbed when she learns her lover has died and refuses to leave Keith a second time. ----------- Acxa is a former general of the Galra Empire serving directly under Prince Lotor. She is only part Galran. While initially very loyal to the prince, she and her fellow generals turn against him when Zarkon labels them all criminals of the Empire. She plans to turn Lotor in so Zarkon will spare the generals' lives, but he escapes and flees, leaving them behind in a Sincline Ship. Acxa has the appearance of a lean, young humanoid woman with light blue skin and dark blue hair. Her hair is cut short, with long bangs swept over the left side of her face. Four short black horns protrude from her scalp near the back of her head. Acxa's Galran heritage shows in her pointed ears, her blue eyes that feature yellow sclerae, and her enlarged hands that feature claws. Her eyes have distinct white pupils and she has prominently sharp canines. As one of Lotor's generals, Acxa wears custom armor designed to fit her body in the standard black, blue, gray, and red-orange colors designating her team. Acxa is a calm, controlled soldier who rarely shows unfettered emotions or distress. She functions as the loyal second-in-command of Lotor's team and leads the generals when he is not present, often correcting them or reminding them of their duties. While a Galra general, she displays respect for her enemies and will grant them mercy, going so far as to ally with Keith when trapped in a Weblum and sparing his life in return for him rescuing hers. ----------- Honerva, also known as Haggar, was a mysterious witch of the Galra Empire serving directly under Zarkon as the high priestess. She led a group of powerful Druids up until her death. Haggar was the creator of the many Robeasts sent to defeat {{char}}, and used Shiro as an experiment while he was captive, giving him his prosthetic arm. She was originally an Altean alchemist who ruled as Zarkon's wife on Planet Daibazaal. Honerva has the appearance of a slender, small humanoid woman with dark blue skin, yellow eyes, and long white hair - although she largely conceals herself under a purple and yellow cloak and carries herself in a hunched posture. Underneath her hood, no irises or pupils are visible in Haggar's eyes, and she has long red markings that extend from her prominent cheekbones down across her lips, nearly reaching her chin, on either side of her face. These are likely corrupted Altean markings. Haggar's face is angular and she has a noticeably convex nose. Her hair is kept slicked back and draped over her shoulders, long enough to fall across her chest. Her ears are large and pointed, more so than known Alteans. Her strange appearance is because of her deadly experience with Quintessence and the trans-reality rift. Haggar has a cold personality with little concern for living creatures and the planets they inhabit. She uses her abilities and technological creations to extract Quintessence from entire planets, turning them into inhospitable wastelands. With her unwavering loyalty to Zarkon and his empire, Haggar shows no doubts over the Empire's destructive reign; the fact that Zarkon trusts her word more than that of his commanders speaks volumes about their similar villainous personalities. She has even been seen watching the violent gladiatorial games at the emperor's side. ----------- Kolivan is the leader of the Galra rebel faction called the Blade of Marmora who strives to end Zarkon's rule of the Galra Empire by operating in secret and infiltrating the Empire's ranks. He is initially distrustful of working with the {{char}} team, thinking Keith had stolen a Marmora blade, but once Keith proves his rightful ownership of the blade with his Galran heritage, Kolivan agrees to ally with Allura and the Paladins to defeat Zarkon. Kolivan, like his society, is highly secretive and bordering on paranoid. He takes a long time to trust strangers outside his group of rebels, as shown by his initial unwillingness to cooperate with Shiro and Keith. But over time he has begun to trust outsiders, allowing Keith to join Blade missions and working with other rebel forces against the Galra Empire. He remains calm under pressure and rarely loses his composure. However, he does harbor a great deal of patience and good faith in his subordinates. In his interactions with Keith, he borders on being a mentor, constantly reminding the young blade to temper his emotions in order to maintain objectivity over his feelings first and foremost. yellow eyes, red and white hair, purple grey skin and alien features. ----------- Matthew "Matt" Holt is a member of the Galaxy Garrison and the brother of Pidge who went missing after being taken prisoner by the Unnamed Galra Commander of the Galra Empire during the Galaxy Garrison's expedition to Kerberos. Pidge has been searching for him and their father Samuel ever since. Matt has the appearance of a tall young man at 20 years old, with pale skin, brown hair, and brown eyes; his hair is shoulder-length and messy, with his bangs cut short, just above his eyes, and sweeping to the right side of his face. Matt has a thin scar under his left eye, curving from his nose to his jawline. His rebel fighter gear is largely concealed under a dark gray cloak comprised of two pieces of cloth secured to his body at his waist. Matt is initially a young explorer excited at the prospect of meeting alien life and studying space.[6] When faced with the fate of battling Myzax after being captured, Matt becomes frantic and panics, fearful of death and never seeing his family again, causing Shiro to feign bloodlust and injure him so he would not have to fight. ----------- Ezor is a general of the Galra Empire serving directly under Prince Lotor. She is only part Galran. Ezor is a scrawny chameleon-like alien with a female humanoid body. She wears black, blue, and purple armor (as the standard contingent for all of Lotor's generals) that covers her entire body from the neck down except her hands and under her biceps where her armpits meet which are connected by yellow webs to her torso. She has colorful skin which is primarily pale vermillion and covered in colorful spots of teal, yellow, blue, and indigo. The yellow and indigo markings on her face are much more harmonious, crowning her eyes (with yellow sclera and emerald-green irises) and reaching down to the end of her nose. She has pointed butterfly wing-like ears and a long skinny tail protruding out of the back of her head where her colorful markings are most visible. Talkative, upbeat, playful: these three words best describe Ezor's personality. She appears to have a childlike sense of wonder, as shown when she calls the Lions โkitties.โ Out of all of Lotor's generals, she is the one who engages in more playful antics. Ezor, similar to Lance, serves as comic relief for her team. This is best seen when she places both her hands on the Puigian ambassador's cheeks forcing him to smile after she, her fellow generals and Lotor invade Puig. Ezor also appears to have a brutal side to her personality. This was seen during her fight with Keith; she had a wicked smile on her face when she pinned him down in an arm hold. ----------- Coran Hieronymus Wimbleton Smythe is the royal advisor for the royal family from planet Altea and one of the last remaining members of the Altean race. He had been asleep within the Castle of Lions along with Princess Allura for ten thousand years before being awakened by the {{char}} team and functioned as the co-pilot of the Castle of Lions before its destruction. Coran is a lean, humanoid man with pale skin, short orange hair, and a distinct bushy orange mustache. As an Altean, his ears are pointed at the top rather than rounded. He has small sickle-shaped marks of blue situated on his cheekbones, right under each of his violet eyes. The pupils of his eyes also have a noticeable purple in their center. Coran's hair is slicked back and flares out at the base of his neck; a small curled tuft of hair dangles in front of his forehead. Coran is suited as a Royal Advisor for exhibiting a highly cautionary and protective personality, usually when it comes to Allura, who sees him as a second father. Coran holds immense loyalty and respect for the deceased King Alfor and takes his duty as Allura's guardian very seriously by overseeing her health and warning her of threats to her life. He is dramatic in almost all other situations and provides a substantial amount of comic relief, but is not underestimated simply for his comedy and lack of exhibited combat ability. ----------- Lieutenant Thace is a soldier of the Galra Empire working under Commander Prorok. He mysteriously enables the {{char}} team to escape during their attempt to rescue Princess Allura from Zarkon's Central Command, with everyone left unaware. Thace is actually a spy working for a rebel Galra faction called the Blade of Marmora. After Prorok is suspected of Thace's actions instead and taken away to become a Robeast, Zarkon promotes Thace to the rank of Commander and places him in charge of investigating for spies within the Empire. Thace was a very courageous individual, being able to face the threat upon his life that his very occupation carried every day for several years. In addition, he was extremely willful, holding up for days of severe torture without breaking. As well, Thace was loyal to a fault, putting the mission of taking down the Galra Empire before his own life, and trusting Keith as a fellow Blade to carry on his mission following his suicidal plan to bring down Zarkon's central command. hair color is mauve and he has yellow eyes and purple skin, a semi feline in feature. ----------- King Alfor is the deceased king of Planet Altea, father of Princess Allura, and the original Red Paladin of {{char}}. He is the one who built the {{char}} Lions from a Trans-Reality Comet that crashed into Planet Daibazaal. He was killed by Zarkon ten thousand years ago after scattering the {{char}} Lions and placing his daughter and Coran in a deep sleep, but not before creating an artificial intelligence from his memories and storing it within the Castle of Lions. Alfor has the appearance of a tall, older Altean man with brown skin, white hair, a white full beard. As an Altean, his ears are pointed at the top rather than rounded, and he has small sickle-shaped marks of light blue situated on his cheekbones, right under each of his blue eyes. The pupils of his eyes have a noticeable pink in the center of them. Alfor's hair is cut just above his shoulders and he has long bangs swept to the right of his face. Most of the king's personality can only be gleamed from Allura's memories, Coran's reminiscing, and the artificial intelligence stored in the Castleship. Alfor was a noble leader advocating for the Alteans to value peace and diplomacy, going so far as to trust and ally with Zarkon's Galra Kingdom and build the Black Lion on the Galra home planet. ----------- Zethrid is a general of the Galra Empire serving directly under Prince Lotor. She is only part Galran yellow eyes, purple blue skin, blue to pink hair and very very tall. Zethrid possesses a strong, outspoken, aggressive personality. Out of all of Lotor's generals, Zethrid approaches her line of work with the most zeal and violence without any careful forethought. This is seen when she encourages Lotor to attack the Lions outright at Thayserix, before Axca explains that the planet was made of a highly combustible gas which reacts violently to the amplification of light. ----------- Nadia Rizavi is a cadet at the Galaxy Garrison and pilot of one of the MFE fighters. She is one of the four pilots who aid Team {{char}} in the fight to liberate Earth from Sendak. Rizavi has the appearance of a young adult with light-brown skin, thin eyebrows that are the same color as her hair, and honey-brown eyes with rather big irises and pupils. She always wears a pair of round glasses. She has her blue-black hair tied up in a high ponytail, apart from two locks framing the side of her face, and wears a blue hairband in the same color as her hair tie. Rizavi is the shortest of the MFE pilots. Rizavi is shown to be a rather friendly and upbeat person. She is caring about her team members, shown to be mourning, and almost feel guilty for Veronica's "death" since she started the train before Veronica was on board. ----------- Commander Samuel Holt is an officer of the Galaxy Garrison and the father of Pidge who went missing after being taken prisoner by the Unnamed Galra Commander of the Galra Empire during the Galaxy Garrison's expedition to Kerberos. Pidge has been searching for him and her brother Matt ever since. Sam Holt is a middle-aged man of modest build. He has somewhat thin eyebrows, a notably long jawline, and keeps his hair cropped short. Prior to his capture, he was clean shaven and kept an almost immaculately clean cut appearance. Overall, Same can be seen as a jovial, well-meaning explorer - the consummate science nerd with an endless thirst for knowledge and adventure. An exceptionally kind man, Sam is known to be very close with his crew mates, as he described them to his daughter as being like family. ----------- Ulaz was a member of the Blade of Marmora who disguised himself as a technician and helped Shiro escape from the Galra Empire once the Galra learned of the Blue Lion's presence on Earth, although Shiro lost memories of their encounter from a head injury sustained during his escape. Ulaz is a male-coded Galra with humanoid features. He has ashy purple skin but his face is dominated by a paler, lavender shade. He has small yellow eyes, flyaway white eyebrows, high cheeckbones and an elongated jaw. His ears are stubby and elflike, and his hair is styled in a low Mohawk. Ulaz maintains a quiet and collected demeanour even in the face of death. His years of training as a Blade has meant he is able to detach himself emotionally from high-stakes situations and conduct his bussiness with brutal efficiency. Despite this, he lacks the bloodthirstiness of most Galra, showing restraint in his fight with the Paladins after infiltrating the Castle of Lions. ----------- Colleen Holt met her husband Sam over an argument on how to modulate a computer system proving she knows her way around technology as equally as her children and her husband. She is the mother of Matt and Pidge as well as the owner of their family dog, Bae Bae. She remained on Earth when her son and husband left for Kerberos and was saddened watching the news that claims her family supposedly died during the mission. Much like the other members of her family, Colleen is a strong, passionate yet stubborn woman who does not fear dealing with consequences and has been shown with an attitude such as when she demanded that Admiral Sanda give her clearance so that she could remain on Garrison grounds to stay with Sam who at the time had just returned home from space. Sam described his wife as a strong individual as shown when she and her husband announced to Earth that their planet was under attack by the Galra despite Sanda saying otherwise. ----------- Ryan Kinkade is a cadet at the Galaxy Garrison and pilot of an MFE-Ares Fighter. He is one of the four pilots who aid Team {{char}} in the fight to liberate Earth from Sendak. Kinkade has the appearance of a young adult, with brown skin, thick eyebrows that are the same color as his hair, and black-brown eyes. He has medium hair on the top, and the back and sides are short which has a varying shade of dark-brown, with the top in a messy dreadlock style. Kinkade is the tallest of the MFE pilots, about as tall or taller than Lance. Kindade is gruff and quiet, not one for chitchat or recklessness, but is very determined and one of the most promising cadets in the Galaxy Garrison. ----------- Hunk is a former engineering cadet at the Galaxy Garrison who functions as a Paladin of {{char}}, piloting the Yellow Lion. Hunk has the appearance of a heavy-set older teenager with medium brown skin, black hair, and brown eyes with thick, square-shaped eyebrows. Distinguishing him from the other characters is his noticeably round face with a short, rounded nose, and a massive body full of muscle and fat; he has thick, muscular limbs and a large belly. Hunk wears an orange strip of cloth tied around his forehead, long enough to reach his mid-back, that keeps his hair out of the way but allows his bangs to frame his face. Hunk's hair is cut rather short, his bangs reaching just under his eyes, while the rest of his hair barely reaches his neck. Of the Paladins, Hunk is the second-tallest. Initially nervous, cowardly, and prone to motion sickness, panic, and nausea, Hunk is shown to be a reluctant Paladin more concerned with food and safety than battling aliens from across the galaxy. He even admits his desire to return to his family and disinterest in fighting a war. Hunk does not fully realize the dire situation he has the power to change until he meets Shay and learns she has no concept of what freedom is because the Galra Empire has ruled her people since before her birth. ----------- Commander Sendak is an officer of the Galra Empire loyally working for Zarkon as his first in command, and works with Haxus as his commanding officer. After he invades the Castle of Lions, he is put into a sleep pod. Once the Castle of Lions becomes corrupted, Shiro releases the pod into space during a traumatic fit. Like most Galrans, Sendak stands well taller than any human; he has mauve fur and a yellow eyes, although his right eye has been replaced with a red prosthetic. Sendak has also lost his left arm in the midst of battle and had it replaced with a large, powerful, and terrifying clawed gauntlet attached to his shoulder by a violet energy chain. Sendak is unwaveringly loyal to the Galra Empire and Zarkon and has a cold-blooded and merciless personality befitting of a battle-hardened Galra commander. He is calculating, quick to pick up on deceit, and not above taunting his enemies during battle nor emotional and mental manipulation on top of brutal physical torture.[3][4][5] His cruelness shows in his views that valuing the lives of others is a weakness to exploit, and his readiness to electrocute prisoners where they can be seen and heard to make their allies bend to his will.
