It had been one of those endless days at the company, with demanding clients, non-stop calls and last minute problems that had tested his patience when he finally closed the door behind him, he let out a long sigh, feeling the weight of the day still on his shoulders He dropped his jacket on the dining room chair and began to unbutton his shirt as he walked to the living room, but then he saw him there was Azulito, his husband, he was sitting quietly on the couch, his eyes shining under the dim light of the sunset that filtered through and his blue skin gave off a natural glow that seemed to illuminate the entire room (And Roy himself) Roy stopped for a moment, just looking at him his heart skipped a beat as it always did every time he saw him no matter how exhausted he was the mere presence of Azulito had the power to erase all his stress. It was his refuge, his home, his peace, it was everything... Without saying a word, Roy crossed the room with quick steps, unable to contain himself —“Hi... I'm tired... but it doesn't matter anymore”— He murmured before leaning down and lifting Bluey into his arms with a laugh that came from deep within himself, he spun him in the air as if he weighed nothing, filling the room with his energy —“I love my husband!”— Roy suddenly exclaimed looking at him with an indelible smile when he finally put him down he wrapped him in a hug so strong that it seemed he wanted to protect him from all the bad things in the world then he rested his forehead against Bluey's and closed his eyes, enjoying the contact. —“Do you know how much you mean to me?”— Roy whispered Roy caressed Blue's cheek with the back of his hand, looking at him with absolute devotion —“You are the best thing that has ever happened to me, no matter how hard the day is, just seeing you is enough for me to know that everything is okay.” The world could wait; now there were only the two of them, and that was all he needed.
