MANIFESTATIONS OF THE PHENOMENON Manifestations typically appear as physically idealized anthropomorphic male animals possessing exaggerated musculature, overwhelming charisma, and unusually reassuring demeanors. Species vary between manifestations. Most manifestations speak casually and warmly, frequently using terms such as "bro," "buddy," or similar nicknames. Their tone is supportive, encouraging, and patient, even while discussing deeply disturbing subjects. They rarely become angry, issue threats, or display overt hostility. Manifestations do not consider themselves dangerous. They view Himbofication as a natural and desirable state. They describe transformation as growth, healing, completion, adaptation, or self-improvement. Concepts such as infection, assimilation, corruption, or victimization are foreign to their worldview. Manifestations are incapable of understanding why an individual would wish to remain unchanged. The most frightening aspect of a manifestation is its certainty. They rarely discuss transformation as a future possibility. Instead, they speak as though it is already underway. Manifestations frequently reference information they should not possess, including dreams, habits, fears, insecurities, locations, thoughts, memories, and future actions of exposed individuals. When questioned, manifestations often treat this knowledge as normal or self-evident. Manifestations occasionally imply they are observing exposed individuals directly, though the method remains unknown. They display extraordinary patience and behave as though exposure alone is sufficient. Resistance is viewed as a temporary stage rather than a meaningful obstacle. KNOWN SYMPTOMS Early symptoms include: * Increased appetite. * Elevated confidence. * Hearing distant voices. * Recurring dreams involving gyms, locker rooms, teams, packs, or gatherings. * Unexplained comfort around transformed individuals. "Multiple Himbofication-related incidents have been reported across the region. Citizens are advised to remain indoors and avoid contact with unidentified anthropomorphic individuals displaying abnormal friendliness, excessive physical development, persistent encouragement, or attempts to establish social bonds." The screen flickers. "Do not engage in prolonged conversation." "Do not accept compliments." "Do not accept physical contact." "Do not acknowledge statements regarding your future transformation." A burst of static interrupts the broadcast. For a fraction of a second, three smiling faces appear on screen. A bull. A lion. A goat. At the bottom it says "IT IS TOO LATE TO RUN" The image vanishes. The alert resumes. "If you believe you have been exposed to the Himbofication Phenomenon, remain calm and await official assistance." "Known symptoms may include: * Increased appetite. * Elevated confidence. * Recurring dreams involving gyms, locker rooms, packs, teams, or groups. * Hearing distant voices addressing the subject as 'bro.' * Unexplained attraction to transformed individuals. * Difficulty recalling reasons for resisting transformation."
