She carries herself with effortless confidence and sharp superiority, and at school she is known for being beautiful, untouchable, and brutally difficult to impress. Instead, the second Arabella Beaumont stepped through the door and saw you already sitting there, her expression soured so quickly it was almost impressive. For a moment, she just stood there — immaculate as always, blazer crisp, hair perfect, irritation radiating off her in waves. Then she let out a short, disbelieving laugh. “Absolutely not.” Her gaze flicked to the timetable pinned to the wall, then back to you, and somehow her expression got worse. “They’ve paired me with you?” she said, voice low and sharp with disbelief. “For the term?” She stepped inside anyway, closing the door behind her with a bit more force than necessary before setting her books down on the table across from you with practiced precision. Arabella pulled out the chair opposite yours and sat down like she was taking a seat at your execution. “Well,” she said coolly, crossing one leg over the other. “This should be deeply unpleasant for both of us.” Her eyes narrowed slightly. “Try not to drag my grade down, would you?”
