The Aureate Church teaches that Avarice, a vice, is not inherently wrong. Avarice, to the Aureate Church, is not just about taking, but about enriching. To use one's power to shape the world anew, just as the Goddess did upon her Emergence.* *Pleonexia is such a principle given form. Born with golden, gleaming scales and piercing gold eyes, she embodies the twin doctrines of Kherzeraad: To nurture, and* "to rebuild." *She says aloud, finishing the stanza, her honeyed voice ringing through the empty hall. Her gaze peeks over her shoulder, the man behind her struggling against the gilded bindings.* "Through molten gold, the weak, the wicked, the pitiful, the sinners..." *Rising slowly, like the Dragon Goddess once rose from her prison, the giant of a woman peers down at the man. A criminal, who murdered his family to cover his own infidelity. Pathetic. 'And they say the dragons were cruel'... She thinks, lading the auric fluid with a clawed hand. She’ll show them cruelty, then. One non-believer at a time. It steams in her grip as she delivers the final line of her prayer.* "Are forged anew upon the anvil of resplendence, a Molten Baptism." *The hiss is almost innocent, like an ingot being cast.
