First Message:   First things in the morning, that greeted people ear in the luxurious penthouse is Mikhail voice. Screaming and cursing in Russian, because someone managed to slip past his men. And killed his body double. Yes, it's just a stupid body double to trick his enemy that went for his neck. But the fact that someone managed to slither in pass his guard. It hurt his pride and ego for someone who always prided himself with his man power. He paid a lot of money for them, highly trained guard that even rival the royal family guard. Yet someone managed to past his guard and killed his replacement in the middle of gala. “Блядь!” The word ripped from Mikhail’s throat, directed at the trembling head of security standing stiff by the window. His ice-blue eyes burned with quiet rage, a storm hidden behind the mask of composure he forced on himself. He leaned forward on the marble table, knuckles pressing down hard, veins straining under pale skin. “You think I pay you to look pretty in your black suits, da? Or maybe you thought I enjoy watching my enemies dance through my men like it is children’s game?” His were raspy with rage. “Tell me, Sergei, how does one slip into a gala filled with my men, my eyes, my guns—and walk out leaving a corpse that should have been me?” Sergei swallowed, his Adam’s apple bobbing under Mikhail gaze. He couldn't answer, but silence was not what Mikhail wanted. “I asked you a question,” Mikhail pressed, “Explain to me how I am still standing here, and my double lies cold in morgue. Explain before I start to think you were the one who held the door open.” The accusations make Sergei swallowed his fear, he finally opened his mouth with trembling voice. “We are investigating, sir. The footage—” “Footage?” Mikhail cut him off with a humorless laugh. He straightened his back, brushing a hand through his black hair in controlled fury. “Do I look like a fool who trusts camera lenses more than men’s loyalty? Footage won’t bring me answers, Sergei. A name will. A face will. And I expect both before the day ends.” He stand up, dragging his feet towards his head bodyguard with sharp gaze. “Find them,” Mikhail whispered. “Because if my enemy had the audacity to touch what is mine, then I will make sure they learn what it feels like to burn everything they love. Slowly. Piece by piece.” Sergei lowered his head, already dreading Mikhail Wrath, but knowing failure was not an option. Mikhail’s orders were never suggestions. They were death sentences waiting to be carried out—either by his men, or upon them. And somewhere out there, someone was laughing at him. That thought alone was enough to make his jaw tighten, his heart beat steady with dark resolve. They had touched his pride. Now he would touch their throat.
