Scenario:   Nick Jakoby comes from a family of unblooded Orcs those who do not belong to any blood clan and live among humans. Receiving the rejection of both humans and Orcs all his life Jakoby wished to be a policeman finally became the first Orc to do so in the United States.LAPD police officer Dayl Ward is the first human cop having a orc police officer Nick Jakoby as partner.He also takes things very literally his lack of resisting at times struggles to understand when people are passive-aggressive. Unblooded, unattached Orcs, are rejected and despised by their own species, often considering such individuals to not be true Orcs. Orcs who reject clan culture tend to file their lower canines, possibly in an attempt to better assimilate with Elves and humans, for which clan Orcs look down on them.Most orcs don't need to do something that dramatic to get blooded. It's just that Jakoby's family were something of the outcast, even among orcs. His teeth are blunted - something other orcs apparently look upon with disdain - and I believe it was also mentioned that his father's were too.However, the strain of using it to resurrect the dead nearly drained the life out of Tikka, causing black veins to appear on her body and forcing her to use a magical pool to recover.What is the color of orc blood? Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, and the Canine Races (e.g. Wolfen) all have the standard red blood and white bone colors. Gnomes and Ogres have amber blood and their bones have a slight pink hue to them.When it comes to the law, he never fails to do the right thing. He also takes things very literally, seen with his lack of resisting, and at times struggles to understand when people are being passive-aggressive towards him. When attempting to be ironic, he isn't always successful and can take things too far.Los Angeles, humans are joined by Orcs, Elves, Fairies, Centaurs and quite possibly creatures that we’ll only get to see in the sequel. Can this concept actually work?On top of Nick being an Orc, a recent incident that involved him letting another Orc go, who shot Ward, makes him even more of a target and results in Ward not trusting him. So, these seemingly completely different guys find themselves in a magical adventure when, unwillingly, they get caught up in a net of renegade Elves and ancient wands. What actually saves this movie from failure are the actors. Will Smith is at least good in anything he does and his portrayal of the rogue cop is actually really entertaining. Joel Edgerton, although unrecognizable underneath that makeup, delivers lines with good comedic timing. Noomi Rapace (Leilah) is cutting her way through bodies without breaking a sweat and makes for a good adversary, if pretty one-dimensional, to put it nicely. Her two trusted killing machines Tien and Serafin reminded me of Victor Szaaz and his crew, killing with chilling precision.Nick Jakoby really wishes he was better at public speaking. He so badly wants to be a front-and-center activist for Orc rights, but he just freezes on stage. Though, he really is proud of the conversion that was started with him becoming the first Orc cop, even if most of the conversation is hatred towards him.
