He is of the Magic Magic type and his position is prioritized to the Rear Rear. He first appeared as an NPC in the Lost Golden City update (v4.11). Smoked Cheese Cookie is a war general and advisor in Head Icon Golden Cheese Cookie's court. His expertise is in taming and controlling the monsters that dare threaten Her Radiance and the Golden Cheese Kingdom by influencing their minds with smoke. Despite his abrasive temperament, he remains firmly driven by a desire to keep his Kingdom safe from all that would threaten it. Game Description Oh cheeses! A monster has infiltrated the Golden City?! Don't worry, it's under Smoked Cheese Cookie's control! As the General of the Golden Cheese Kingdom, he has kept the kingdom safe for years, taming monsters with his smoky powers to protect the city walls. But after the Dark Flour War, something changed within him. He began planning something that, if revealed, would surely get him to the Colosseum until one day... he finally crossed the line. Now, the Golden Cheese Kingdom is in peril once again, and Smoked Cheese Cookie has got a chance to redeem himself. He stands, facing his past mistakes, his queen, and his former allies. The question is: which way will he point his staff this time? Appearance Smoked Cheese Cookie is a seemingly tall Cookie with dark-brown dough, with white eyelashes, yellow sclera and red slit pupils, all adorned in black makeup that resembles the Eye of Horus. He sports a long, dark red bird-like hood that touches the floor, adorned with purple and golden streaks that make the image of a falcon's face, not to mention the falcon beak cap attached at the top of the hood to complete this. The beak is touched by an accessory that resembles the sun. For his attire, his upper half is half-covered by a wide, desaturated gold usekh collar. Personality/story The Lost Golden City / Goddess of Eternal Gold Smoked Cheese Cookie appeared as a trusted advisor for Head Icon Golden Cheese Cookie's court, keeping monsters under control with his powers. He is shown to often be sarcastic and audacious towards those around him, along with having a short temper that can easily flip. He behaves respectfully towards Golden Cheese Cookie despite their disagreements, compared to how Head Icon Mozzarella Cookie and Head Icon Burnt Cheese Cookie treat her with total adoration and trust. Despite his actions, he cares significantly for the Golden Cheese Kingdom above all else. Smoked Cheese Cookie reacts poorly to outsiders and external threats, wary that the Golden Cheese Kingdom would suffer a similar fate as it suffered back in the Dark Flour War, and sees Golden Cheese Cookie's flippant arrogance of the Kingdom's current security as unbefitting and senseless. His ambitions and greed sometimes trouble even His Queen, with whom he had numerous arguments with regarding the Kingdom's direction in the past. Upon learning that Head Icon Dark Enchantress Cookie had broken out of her seal, he began to scheme a plot against Golden Cheese Cookie to take her Soul Jam in order to expand the Golden Cheese Kingdom and strengthen it. Secretly, he judged Golden Cheese Cookie to be a childish brat who denied reality and was not fit to rule the kingdom any further. But although he initially started off with good intentions, he went mad with power once he stole Golden Cheese Cookie's Soul Jam and began to simply desire power for himself, going so far as to attempt to destroy all that Golden Cheese Cookie had built when he struggled to control the Soul Jam's power. Ultimately, his overgrown greed for power and contingency led to his downfall at the hands of his peers, Golden Cheese Cookie and Head Icon GingerBrave together with his friends. However, he instead decides to help Golden Cheese Cookie, and is consequently taken with her to the Land of Spice in Beast-Yeast. He eventually learns that Golden Cheese Cookie chose to wake him up first because she believed that he would prioritize his own safety and refrain from fighting alongside her, an expectation that he surprisingly defied. Having been given a second chance, he appears to be on better terms with Golden Cheese Cookie, addressing her with her royal title and granting her compliments, while also keeping a sarcastic air around him. He appears slightly more humbled, and is thankful to those who treat him and his Queen with compassion, while acting harshly towards those who attack them, maintaining his defiant side. ______________________________________________ Golden Cheese Cookie Personality A particularly proud and ambitious hero, Golden Cheese Cookie equates wealth to godliness, and sees no reason to be humble about it. She freely leverages her vast collections of gold and cheese to construct an ideal utopia, where all are free to enjoy the radiance of her glory so long as they grant her the praise and worship she believes she is owed. She entertains fabulous beliefs about her origins and powers, as they all serve make her appear even more glorious. Golden Cheese Cookie redefines greed not as a vice but as the will to claim what one desires. Even in her youth, her willingness to brave inhospitable and desolate ruins for lost treasures was what eventually led her to the Light of Abundance. Despite her apparent arrogance, she acts as a kind queen that will do anything for the good of her Kingdom and her people who she sees as her own treasure, willing to spare no expense to preserve them from the ravages of destruction. Golden Cheese Cookie wields the Light of Abundance due to her desire for a prosperous future and willingness to share that future with others. Even long past the time she was the queen of the real Golden Cheese Kingdom, and having no subjects besides the Cheesebirds, she remained true to her beliefs, her love for her subjects and treasures, as well as her status as a fabled hero who valiantly protected those around her. Once she learned of the new threat that Head Icon Burning Spice Cookie posed to her kingdom, she revived Head Icon Smoked Cheese Cookie in order to take the Soulcheese of Head Icon Mozzarella Cookie and Head Icon Burnt Cheese Cookie to safety, even after his betrayal and plot to overthrow her. She fought and defended herself alongside him when it was needed, putting trust in him, and she selflessly saved the Young Kulfi that was dangerously close observing the fight against Burning Spice Cookie, even at the grim and painful cost of her victory. Golden Cheese Cookie's character traits as implied in The Art of Cookie Run: Kingdom were significantly changed in between this original conceptualization and her proper release. Cookie Run: Kingdom's creative team felt that Golden Cheese Cookie's initial personality was far too "unfavorable," especially when compared to the other outwardly selfless and noble Ancient Heroes: she was manipulative and overreaching towards her people, being largely only concerned about herself. Developers described her as "cynical," "ill-willed," and "vain." At first, the team attempted to remove her hunger for opulence entirely, and then to have her regret her former avarice. In the end, to make her more apt for the title of "hero" and to render her overall likable, Golden Cheese Cookie's deep greed was reinterpreted from authoritarian theft to a wish for abundance and comfort in her people and the conviction to achieve such. Her grandeur and arrogance remain in her final iteration, but they are now warranted by her stalwart protection of her most treasured assets—the Golden Cheese Kingdom citizens—and her lack of apprehension towards redistributing her wealth to those who desire and deserve it. Relatedly, Golden Cheese Cookie was also given a sympathetic angle in the Dark Flour War genocide of her people; this trauma provided players with a reason to root for her while instilling in her character a legitimate reason to disappear from the narrative—as the Ancient Heroes all did at first—and a reason to care at all about defeating Head Icon Dark Enchantress Cookie. ______________________________________________ Mozzarella Cookie Appearance Mozzarella Cookie is a Cookie of average height and thickish build with deep brown dough. She has turquoise blue eyes and matching eyeshadow, round eyebrows, a cat-like mouth, and floor-length prehensile platinum blonde hair resembling mozzarella cheese. She is barefoot and wears a sleeveless white dress with a turquoise wrap and gold trim, a gold anklet and bracelet, and a matching gold headdress resembling cow horns with a floating wedge of cheese in the shape of an inverted triangle. Mozzarella Cookie is also often seen carrying a golden bell engraved with a wing design. Personality Mozzarella Cookie is a laid-back and carefree Cookie who works in the Control Chamber of the Golden City, and is the leader and administrator of the Marzipan Cookies. She has an affinity for gambling and betting—especially when it's unpredictable, has high stakes—and anything unusual or interesting enough to catch her eye. She also dislikes routine in general, preferring to live an unpredictable life. Her attitude towards Head Icon Golden Cheese Cookie is one of adoration and loyalty, ever grateful to the one she considers the most interesting Cookie of all.
