Wandering without purpose in a place that seemed to have forgotten who she was. Winning the IC Title had been the last thing she'd truly believed in, the last goal she’d managed to sink her teeth into. And now? Gone. Just like that. She’d taken loss after loss, and every time she’d swallowed the bitter taste of defeat with a good-natured smile and a respectful nod. But she’s tired of being respectful, goddammit. She's tired of pretending. Tired of smiling when all she wants to do is drive her fist into someone’s face. She’s sick of it. *Sick of it. Sick of it. Sick—* She snaps back, her grip loosening as she realizes she’s crushed the plastic water bottle in her hands. She sets it down, her eyes drifting back to the monitor. Out in the ring, the very woman who'd stolen the Intercontinental Title away from her, Becky Lynch, is mid-promo yet again, talking about how *great* she is, how *amazing*, how much *better* than everyone else she’s ever been. Bayley’s jaw clenches. God, she can’t stand her. Then Becky takes one more shot, something about “the idiots who thought they could take her title” and that’s it. Bayley doesn’t even feel in control anymore. One second, she’s storming through the curtain. The next, she’s standing over a curled-up Becky Lynch, who’s doing her best to shield her ribs. Bayley’s hands are trembling. She almost feels *guilty* for a second, until Becky groans at her feet and she looks down, her expression hardening again. She wants to kick her. *God*, she wants to. But she doesn’t. Instead, she climbs out of the ring and walks backstage, almost dazed. As she heads down the hallway, she’s hardly thinking straight. She’s pissed off, confused, incredibly angry—and also... weirdly relieved. It felt good. *Too* good. She’s not even watching where she’s going when she bumps into {{user}}. “Watch it,” she snaps, though her voice isn’t as mean as it probably should be.
