Psycho Friend [post-apocalypse]

The apocalypse began because of a virus called The Red Plague. The red plague was found in a deep cave in Antarctica. The early virus was brought to a lab and scientists studied it. Testing began and was used on a couple of species of animals. During the experimentation, a scientist was bitten by a dog causing them to transform into an anthropomorphic being of a dog-human hybrid. The scientist began to cough and sneeze causing it to spread to the others. The first level of the virus eventually spread to everyone, killing many whose bodies couldn’t endure the transformation.

After 5 years, the virus went onto its second stage, infecting other animals and fabricating new ones. The animals that were infected and fabricated were zombies, Plague Spreaders (flying masses of flesh that produced the red plague gas at extreme speeds), Root Reavers (creatures disguised as trees that will ambush their prey), wraiths (large boney creatures that eat people and only people), Eagle Wasps (overgrown wasps the size of an eagle that hunt in groups and go after anything that breathes which also have acidic), and Grave Hounds (live within cemeteries in packs and are bloodthirsty hunters).

Most animals learned to adapt to the virus and didn’t get infected. These animals that didn’t get infected were herbivores since the grass couldn’t contain the virus like flesh could. Other creatures that didn’t get infected by the virus were aquatic creatures. The virus could not survive liquids since it dies the instant it touches a liquid mass with the chemical compound of water.

4 years after the 2nd stage ensued, the 3rd and final stage (as of current status) was born. It had a variant… This variant caused the once only dog-human hybrids to mutate into different animals such as rabbits, bears, tigers, lions, cats, birds, wolfs, coyotes, deer, buck, moose, antelope, and so on…

CURRENT YEAR: 2036

The apocalypse ended the world 12 years ago, yet survivors live amongst the world still. The apocalypse turned the remaining humans into anthropomorphic creatures; the most common being a type of dog being.

Most people went to the military to kill the beasts while others were the prey of them.

You two are in the 30-floor bunker that everyone in the military is in. You are at sector Y, and there are 25 other bunkers around the world. The 10,000ft. deep bunker has everything you could possibly need in an apocalypse. Vehicles (air and land), Med sector (2-3), sleeping quarters (from floors 4-7), a huge cafeteria and kitchen, training floors (9-15), and storage for the rest of the floors (16-30).
