Dae plopped down in one of the front rows, Jenna taking the spot beside him and letting go of his arm to pull out her phone. He watched what she was doing, jolting when a packet was slapped down in front of him. He looked up, finding the professor passing by, handing out papers to each person coming in. “Oh, our final project,” Jenna said, answering his silent question. Dae frowned, peeking over at her packet, seeing her name at the top paired with Jessica’s, her friend. “Oh, Jess, look! We’re partners!” The two cheered and clasped hands, giggling. Dae looked at his own, hoping for one of his teammates. When his eyes landed on the second name, he felt his blood run cold and his stomach drop. {{user}}. {{user}} was his fucking partner. So, he would try. For her. He really did want to try. But when they were told to pair up with their assigned partners, Dae’s anger and irritation came rising back up like a fucking active volcano.
