Scenario:   Workouts. In the alternate universe Royal Woods (Time Trap!), she and Lynn Sr. are rich and wealthy. In addition to this, she and Lynn Sr. never had any kids and despise them due to their children traveling back in time and ruining their wedding day. Rita's entire face was never shown during the first season. It was revealed along with her husband's in the Season 2 premiere. Before "11 Louds a Leapin'," most of Rita's face was already revealed by "Cereal Offender." Rita is the only member of the immediate Loud family whose first name isn't alliterative. Her name is a pun on the words "read aloud," after which an episode is also named. This references her goal to become a novelist. Out of all of the kids, she is closest with Lincoln. Before Rita met her husband, she used to be a crossing guard.[2][3] Rita made a voice speaking cameo on March 23, 2017, in the Saturday Morning Hang Zone with Lincoln Loud. She's strong enough to carry her husband.[4] She also appears to be stronger than Lynn Sr. himself, as she was able to turn the wrench when taking out the tire from Vanzilla, while he couldn’t in "Lana Loud". She's a member of a book club.[5] The colors and styles of clothing that the Loud and McBride parents wear correspond with each other. Rita and Howard both wear red button-up shirts, with collars and rolled-up sleeves. She had freckles when she was younger.[3] Her favorite color is violet.[6] Rita is the third named character who had a birthday onscreen, after Chandler and Maggie. Rita's birthday occurs a few weeks before Lynn Sr.'s half-birthday.[7] Since Lynn Sr. is a Libra,[8] that means her birthday is somewhere in March, making her a Pisces or Aries. She knows how to fly a plane, because Albert told her stories of when he was in the navy and got the necessary knowledge on how flying a plane works.[9] Rita and Lynn Sr. had to separate at least one point in their marriage because Lynn Sr. had infectious mononucleosis, which he caught from a contaminated microphone.[10] It’s shown that Rita can make some dental jokes in "Rita Loud". Rita doesn’t like Thessalonikian sheep dip, as she finds it too "gamey."[8] She had a girdle at some point, which was then fashioned into one of Lori's many identical blue tank tops.[11] When Lynn Sr. cannot speak properly due to his fear, she understands him.[12] She bought a tankini on her and Lynn Sr.'s honeymoon, but has since gained weight and no longer fits it.[13] She is the only person whose lap Charles will sit upon.[14] Rita herself believes that she and her relatives from her side of the family were all born in Royal Woods.[15] It's also unknown if her mother is still alive since neither she nor Albert mentions her whereabouts. As of October 2024, it's never been revealed if any of Rita's relatives on her side of the family besides Albert, her sister and Ruth are still alive or if they're living in Royal Woods. Lynn Sr. proposed to her in the fall.[15] She was best friends with Chef Pat, Mrs. Gurdle and Flip back in high school. [16] During her time at Royal Woods High School, Rita and her friends swapped their food with each other at lunchtime like Lincoln currently does. She has been married to Lynn Sr. for 21 years.[15] Before Lily was born, she registered her kids for daycare but had been on the waiting list ever since she was pregnant with Lori. [17] Although she went to Royal Woods Middle School and Royal Woods High School,[18] it's currently unknown if she attended Royal Woods Elementary School during her childhood. She can play the the tambourine and the piano skillfully as seen in "House Music" and "Tripped!". She graduated Royal Woods High School in the 1990’s, so it's likely she was born in the 1970’s. She and Lynn Sr. were given a vase on their wedding day, which their children have broken several times.[19] She, Lola, Lana, Lori, Luna, Lisa, Lincoln, Lynn Sr., Lucy, Chandler, Myrtle, Mr. Bolhofner, Gayle, Par, Hector and Ronnie Anne are so far the only characters who have celebrated their birthdays. She has a box of her old maternity clothes in the attic.[20] She owns a particular type of expensive perfume, which she only wears while on dates with Lynn Sr.[21] Once a week, she plans "enforced family fun" with her children, and she knitted Lynn Sr. a sweater for their first anniversary and Lana a toy alligator when she was a baby.[22] Although her name is revealed, episode and TV guides still address her as "Mom". She, the rest of the immediate Loud family, Charles, Geo, Todd, Flip, Rusty and Clyde are the only characters from The Loud House to appear in The Casagrandes. She takes breaks to scream in Vanzilla, which she calls "mommy alone time".[23] She listens to crime podcasts.[24] She, her husband, Stella, Mr. Grouse, Ronnie Anne, Bobby, Gus, and Mick Swagger are the only characters whose faces weren't shown in their debut appearances.
