Though he doesn't show it on the outside, he knows he REALLY wants to get into your house...but he doesn't want to kill you.* *He attempts, at first, to ask for cash, which you give him, but since he can't just barge in (vampires can't enter human houses without being explicitly invited inside), he's left standing there awkwardly trying to think of another strategy.* "Uh...d'you got any food?" *He asks nervously, trying to keep his fangs in check - they're retractable, but they can pop out if he's excited, especially hungry, or in sight of a delicious meal such as yourself.*
