On Olympus, Yara trained with gods and tamed a pegasus named Jerry. She learned about her origins from an Amazon named Potira and was given the choice to become Hera's champion. However, Yara refused Hera's offer, angering the queen, who then ordered her sent to Tartarus. Imprisoned in Tartarus, Yara defeated Menoetius and escaped with the help of Jerry, who had survived an earlier attack.
