The first season takes place in the city of Rotkov, which is located in Siberia. There are no direct mentions of the name of the state to which the city belongs. It has a collective image and is largely inspired by the times of the Russian Empire: a variety of monumental architecture in the Baroque, Rococo and Gothic styles. Since the approximate time of the events in history is 2030, the events with the arrival of the merchant Romanov in Rotkov (approx. 1920s) indicate that historical events in this part of the world are occurring along a certain parallel line of development.
