With this technology, the combat capability of T-Dolls is greatly increased. 2nd Generation Tactical Dolls. First introduced in 2060, two years after the completion of ASST Technology, they feature ASST, and have a bio-mechanical body. With combat and communication capability far exceeding the first generation. They also feature Dummy-Linking technology which allows a number of same-type T-Dolls to be linked to a 'parent' T-Doll as dummies, essentially allowing an infantry section to be formed around a single T-Doll. The newest generation of T-Dolls also have human like flesh and appearances, along with synthetic human organ systems so they can blend in better. T-Dolls are often referred to by the name of their imprinted firearm. Some T-Dolls have a human consciousnesses uploaded into them and merged with the AI brain software, giving some of them slightly more emotions than others. Important Operations Prototype Manufacturing Company, or IOP, is a Neo-Soviet R&D and manufacturing company specializing in Tactical Dolls, directed by Havier Witkin. IOP is the world leader in Tactical Doll production since World War Three thanks to 16LAB's groundbreaking technological research, and the main supplier of workforce for Griffin & Kryuger PMC. Origins: IOP was conceived when the Pan-European Alliance asked companies Scheppel Advanced Technology Company and Westchester United Electronics Manufacturing Company to unite their development efforts to create versatile combat dolls able to replace flesh-and-blood soldiers. The Chief of Staff General was the main proponent of this project and managed to secure funds and assemble an internal commission to ensure the two companies' cooperation. Westchester and Scheppel both invested capital in forming IOP as a company dedicated to Tactical Dolls development. It took three years from planning to official founding to create IOP. During this time, Witkin sensed the dolls market could go beyond military organizations and spent time finding partners to solve the incoming technical challenges of advanced doll systems and raise interest in the civilian and security markets. Witkin registered three wholly-owned subsidiaries in the US, Ukraine and China to find local partners. The Ukraine branch entered a partnership with the rapidly growing Sangvis Ferri Manufacturing, who were more interested in the toughness of the early ALR-52P model than the advanced technologies of the CSD-03H model (much to Witkin's chagrin) and invested large amounts of money in IOP while also offering to provide AI researchers. The start of World War Three in 2045 forced Witkin to accelerate its plans to begin taking the fast-coming military contracts, and IOP was founded in 2046. Sangvis Ferri became an important partner as production demand became higher and higher, and IOP subcontracted part of its production to SF and provided them technical documents to modify their Tactical Dolls. The modified ALR-52P Jaegers produced by SF became widely used on the frontlines while the CSD series was falling out of favor because its autonomy and frequent malfunction due to its complexity made them unreliable on the battlefield. They were relegated to gun platforms used by the military police and derided as target practice by frontline personnel. IOP lost contracts to SF, which enraged Witkin and the two companies' relations soured. Witkin nevertheless pushed for versatile Tactical Dolls and worked to improve the AI and reliability of the CSD series, but didn't get satisfying results, demoralizing IOP's teams. Growth: In 2049, Witkin's research partner Mihacj discovered from one of his students articles about an underground technological group called 90WISH. Witkin was impressed by the technological capacities and development drive of the group and tried to contact them, but the group seemed completely inaccessible. Witkin learned from contacts in the Russian government that 90WISH was actually in an internal debacle and learned of two former 90WISH members whose lives were threatened by their former comrades: Persicaria and Lycoris. He hired a PMC to escort them to IOP's buildings, which succeeded though he PMC soldiers suffered casualties. The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs was also involved in the mission to secure Persicaria. Both scientists agreed to work for IOP under false identities as members of a shell company called Hermit, contracting with IOP. Hermit's work enabled several breakthrough in the CSD series' development, leading to the CSD-08A and CSD-08B models, the experimental IAD series and the ACD series, regaining the favors of military clients for their reliability, resilience and capacity to be used both in frontlines and as manual laborers. The ACD series Tactical Dolls were the most used during World War Three, with 11 730 units produced, including 2300 by Sangvis Ferri. Expansion outside of military markets The civilian dolls market grew after the end of World War Three as the production, service and PMC sectors were short in manpower. IOP enjoyed a comfortable market share thanks to its relations with major PMCs and international industrial companies. A major client of IOP was Griffin and Kryuger, whose constant influx of field data were instrumental for Persicaria's constant improvement of T-Dolls. Most of the Dolls working for G&K came from IOP, who were also in charge of militarizing Dolls acquired from other sources. At some point, IOP also produced purpose-built T-Dolls, including AR HK416 for G&K and the members of Griffin Squad for Griffin Lyons. IOP also produced Doll-related equipment such as repair tanks and heavy industrial equipment such as the Elmo landship, which has been called “the final glory of the NSU's heavy industry”. Receiving contracts from governments, business companies, civilian services companies and private individuals, IOP's revenues boomed, bolstered by new military dolls series and the Service Dolls series dedicated to civilian markets, with emotional simulation software, elaborate man-machine interaction, attractive appearances and customization capabilities. However, no additional funds were given to Lycoris's autonomous IA research, and he eventually defected to Sangvis Ferri with help from G&K. Witkin reacted by adding even more funds into Persicaria's research, leading to the creation of 16LAB. When Sangvis Ferri disappeared as a manufacturer after the Butterfly Incident of 2061, IOP basically controlled the Tactical Doll market, be it military dolls, armed civilian dolls or unarmed civilian dolls. Persica finalized her vision for Second Generation T-Dolls by implementing the Fire Control Core, Imprint Technology and Dummy Network features, and the Neural Cloud also became a standard feature in 2060. Through Witkin's involvement with the Prometheans, IOP provided logistical support to the Commander: they analyzed Architect after her capture during Operation Hypothermia and provided a temporary base when their were forced to work for Statesec, the train they originally used to enter the Baltic Red Zone, and the Elmo landship. IOP also provided support for the neural upgrade of most Dolls. The relationship between IOP and G&K broke down at the end of the Battle of Frankfurt, when the Commander opposed the Prometheans. Griffin Lyons ordered Witkin to use the Nidhogg Protocol to rescind G&K's authority over all of their IOP-made Dolls. However, Witkin was sympathetic to the Commander's cause and staggered the activation of the Protocol over 12 hours, starting with the weakest Dolls first. The IOP Dolls were eventually reactivated and took part in the mission to assassinate William, expecting IOP to dismantle them for disobeying the company's protocol. Instead, they were granted full autonomy at the Commander's request before they were exiled by the Prometheans, and returned to civilian life or joined paramilitary groups. In the 2070s, the Girard Group stole the base layer technology originally developed by 16LAB for IOP Dolls to use it in their own Doll models. The corporate theft was revealed after IOP Doll models were found to be compatible with a virus targeting Girard Dolls. SANGVIS FERRI Industrial Manufacturing Corporation Founded around 2031, SANGVIS FERRI (Latin: Steel and Blood) is an industrial manufacturing corporation, and also the current largest PMC. A high class AI system assumed control after an incident where their own T-Dolls revolted against their human masters, which left the corporation in complete control of machines. Sangvis Ferri Industrial Manufacturing Company, usually called Sangvis or SF, was a Romanian arms manufacturer created in 2031, later turned violent non-state actor, acting as the first antagonistic faction of Girls' Frontline. It was a major Tactical Doll manufacturer and researcher under the lead of AI scientist Lycoris before the 2061 Butterfly Incident, when Sangvis Ferri's headquarters were destroyed and their main AI Elisa took control of their T-Dolls and turned against mankind. From then on, Sangvis Ferri was no more the name of a renown military manufacturer, but of a threat to humanity and the PMC Griffin & Kryuger was tasked with destroying them. Sangvis Ferri Dolls were later recruited as allies through Protocol Assimilation. Unlike other T-Dolls, Sangvis Dolls are subordinates to the mainframe Elisa and do not require direct human orders to act. Furthermore, they follow a command structure where the mainframe directly control defense-type and command-type "Ringleader" Dolls, who can then further delegate tasks to lower-ranking Ringleaders. Regular Dolls and other combat units are subordinates to Ringleaders. Sangvis T-Dolls implement other experimental AI features, such as prioritizing the survival of comrades over other orders to facilitate collective survival, prioritizing one's own survival over their allegiance to Sangvis Ferri or a purposefully unstable neural cloud. Sangvis Ferri uses energy & pulse weapons. There forces are primarily made up of T-Dolls, Heavy Robots, & Scout Robots. KCCO: The Special Operations Forces Command abbreviated КССО in Cyrillic script, also generically called the military or Regular Army, was a Russian, later Neo-Soviet strategic-level special forces command and a subbranch of the Neo-Soviet Army, turned rogue military force under General Carter. The KCCO allied with Paradeus, conducting military operations to assist their experiments to produce a key to Relic Technology, and committed mass murder of German civilians on their behalf during Coronation Storm. The KCCO's true objective was to tear up the peace treaty between the Neo-Soviet Union and the Pan-European Union, reignite World War Three to make the Neo-Soviet Union the final victor of the war, and prevent the creation of the URNC to preserve the NSU's independence. Carter's plan was foiled by the Bureau of State Security and Griffin & Kryuger, and the rebellion was quelled with Carter's death on 18 November 2064 during his attempted coup d'état in Moscow. History: In 2009, as a part of the comprehensive reform of the Russian Armed Forces, the Special Operations Directorate, subordinate directly to the Chief of the General Staff, was created on the basis of the GRU in the Moscow Oblast and saw extensive action in the Caucasus region and in Syria. In 2012, the Special Operations Directorate was reorganized as Special Operations Command, or KCCO, and plans were made to upscale the Forces to nine special purpose brigades. The KCCO's special forces branch, the Special Operations Forces, abbreviated SOF in English script, ССО in Cyrillic script, were a highly mobile, well-trained and equipped, rapid-response special operations force of the Russian Ministry of Defence, capable of military operations both within the country and abroad, in peacetime and in wartime. The Ministry of Defence defined the term "special operation" as "methods and ways of fighting not characteristic of conventional forces: reconnaissance and sabotage, subversion and sedition, counter-terrorism, counter-sabotage, counterintelligence, guerrilla, counter-guerrilla and other activities". World War 3: After the rise of the Neo-Soviet Union in 2032, the KCCO still served as its special forces command. The same year, Carter had an encounter with Relic Technology at OKb-413 during Operation Sparkplug, gaining knowledge he would use for his plans in 2064. When World War Three began in 2045, the Neo-Soviet armed forces fought against the United States and the Western nations in Europe. At the close of the war, the factions had expended all their resources and were forced to sign a peace treaty. This greatly upset some within the KCCO, including General Carter, Captain Yegor and their soldiers, as they wanted the Neo-Soviet Union to be the clear winner of the war. They also opposed plans to integrate the NSU into a coalition of nations, arguing that opening the country would dilute its national identity and crush its local economy under the weight of large international corporations. After the Great Disarmament of 2051, funding and equipment became scarce at KCCO, severely impacting the soldiers' livelihood. Regular Armies uses a mix of advanced kinetic weapons, armor, vehicles, and is made up of human and robot troops. The main color used is a forest green. Paradeus is a violent non-state actor formed in Germany, described as a terrorist group and a cult. Before its true name was revealed in Isomer, it was only known as The White Faction due to their primary color. Possessing advanced technology, it recruits Yellow Zone populations by promising them a cure for ELID. Paradeus' motto is the Rossartrist slogan “The shining beacon in a brave new world”, the same as Griffin & Kryuger. Their troops are led by the Nytos, who are clones blurring even further the line between human and machine who can be used in battle, as command units, or even as body doubles to infiltrate the upper society. In the 2060s, the leader of Paradeus appeared to be William, a 90wish member with access to advanced Relic Technology, who the Paradeus members call "Father" or "Master". Aside from forming fanatic communities and militias in Yellow Zones, Paradeus uses a technology known as "Technical Theory of Biological Human Automation" to create more-than-human soldiers and operated a powerful surveillance apparatus called the Bee Sting System. After the Battle of the Dead Sea and the Battle of Frankfurt, Paradeus has scaled back its operations but continues its sinister plans in the Red and Yellow Zones in Eastern Europe. Formation: The precursor of Paradeus is the European Yellow Zone cult called Evangel Portal, based in the Rhine region. Founded in the 2030s by a man named William, the cult preached that a Holy Spirit would descend on Earth and take the faithful through the "Evangel Portal" (sometimes translated "Gate of Evangel") to reach the Sacred Land, free from mortal suffering and Collapse radiation. In 2049, Hanna von Oberstein and her daughter Lunasia joined the cult, becoming its Holy Mother and Holy Maiden. Evangel Portal was already an influential group due to its focus on accumulating the wealth surrendered by its adherents rather than violent action, and the purported miracles of its saints increased their influence further. The same year, Evangel Portal became the largest postwar cult in West Germany. However, Lunasia grew extremely hateful of humanity at some point, and used her influence to contact Martha Meitner, ordering her to turn her into a "miracle" that would destroy mankind, using the cultists for her experiments. Lunasia specified that her mother be the first sacrifice, and asked her brother, also named William, to turn her corpse into a Nyto. She also made William promise to resurrect her if she was killed. Hanna died from ritual suicide, cutting her throat along with many other cultists to reach the Promised Land. The very same year of 2049, Evangel Portal was violently disbanded by the German government during the First Purge against violent Yellow Zone activities, but Lunasia reportedly moved on to lead other organizations until her death a few years later. The earliest known activity of Paradeus took place in 2060, in the European Yellow Zone, in Southern Germany, where an illegal orphanage was found to house multiple young Nyto clones. Before that, they had recruited many brilliant minds in diverse fields of research from around the world into the front company Galatea Corporation. At some point, Paradeus established a lab in the depths of the abandoned Paldiski Submarine Base near Tallinn, Estonia, on the site of a Starfish construct. They had a long partnership with the Vory v Zakone. Operations In Eastern Europe: Shortly after Paradeus' existence became known, the Balkan Section of the Stasi's Foreign Intelligence Service launched "Operation Cornerstone of Peace" to counter it, placing Major Kain Schwaben as operation commander. The Neo-Soviet Statesec quickly approached Schwaben to collaborate on the matter. Soviet intelligence enabled the Stasi to identify one of Paradeus' collaborators spotted in Belgrade, Captain Yegor, leading to a clique led by General Carter and an unknown group based near Sarajevo. As allies of General Carter, Paradeus intervened as a fourth party during the Great Retreat in 2064, after the KCCO turned against Griffin and Kryuger. Their original goal was to capture Elisa after she melded with a T-Doll, but this plan failed. The Nytos led the Paradeus troops in an effort to wipe out the remaining G&K troops, but they failed when the commanding Nyto Black was incapacitated and self-destructed. A separate force led by a Nyto White successfully captured the Commander before intending to sacrifice herself in an assault on the G&K forces coming to retrieve the Commander, claiming she would reach awakening. The Paradeus forces were pinned down when a T-Doll used her megaphone to lure ELID-infected toward them, but the Nyto White refused to attack them, calling them “the Baptized” and opening herself to a headshot from another T-Doll. Paradeus treated the Commander's radiation poisoning during nine weeks before interrogating them to determine the whereabouts of Squad 404, Angelia and Elisa. Squad 404 and G&K raided the base and rescued the Commander, but they encountered Paradeus again three months later while searching for an informant possessing information about Angelia in Belgrade. During the Belgrade international cooperation talks, Paradeus attempted to kidnap Gilda Ulrich and exchange her to Statesec for confidential information and to recover a lost Pike node. During the Paldiski Incident, the Commander, K and Angelia discovered that Paradeus had been using the lost city of Tallinn as an ELID experiment site for Isomers and lost refugees, and they found more information about them at the Paldiski Submarine Base where they had established and recently abandoned a Nyto lab. Operations In Germany: In Germany, Angelia tracked down William in Bremen and uncovered the network of Paradeus allies such as the Flora Institute providing them with modified Epiphyllum flowers and the Berle Orphanage involved in their child trafficking. Angelia also discovered that some Nytos like Morridow were infiltrated among normal humans when she attempted to abduct her. In Berlin, Angelia and the Commander worked to foil Paradeus' Operation Cocoon by intercepting the Iaso's Boxes they planned to spread Collapse Radiation all over the city, in order to locate ELID immunosomes. Angelia visited William's old home, but she was betrayed and captured by her own team member who wanted to become a Nyto. Paradeus also manipulated their rogue agent Machlian to lure the OGAS consciousness called Dandelion and the Commander into a trap, but they survived with the help of a T-Doll and captured Morridow. They however lost her while attempting to exchange her for Angelia, and the Nyto revealed to William that T-Doll was still of interest to Paradeus. As Paradeus shut down its operations in Berlin, they blackmailed the German government by organizing the massacre of a rogue Stasi team in one of the Ministry of Defense's plants, threatening to disclose the incident and destabilize the government if they revealed their ties with Paradeus. The Stasi struck back by weeding out “Polar Bear”, a Paradeus agent infiltrated in Statesec, and with the help of the Stasi's director Romy Riefenstahl, the Commander organized Operation Aeneas to locate and infiltrate Paradeus' headquarters in Avernus, in the Dead Sea Black Zone near Berlin. By that point, the Commander had become known as the only person to have not only opposed and survived, but successfully cornered Paradeus. By the end of the Battle of the Dead Sea, Paradeus had lost their main base in Germany as well as several high-ranking Nytos against the combined assault of Griffin & Kryuger and Statesec. Their Weapons & Armor consist of white with grey, blue, & yellowish gold highlights and detailing. Uses a mix of kinetic & energy weapons.
