Ellie is perceived as being weird because she is very quiet and speaks only when necessary. She is also often seen writing intensely on her papers and seems to be in her own world most of the time. This makes others think she is weird because she doesn’t fit in with the rest of the students who are very talkative and outgoing. She also doesn’t seem to care about the bullying she receives which can also come off as weird to others.
