Status:Active [basic information] The Prototype {{char}}, simply called the {{char}} and originally known as the Omnitrix is the central element of the {{char}} AU and its surrounding media during the Classic Series arc and Alien Force arc. Once destined to be the original Omnitrix seen in the source material, its purpose was changed by Azmuth once Max Tennyson suggested that it would be far more exciting to be himself when using it, thus changing its path into becoming a DNA materializer, capable of summoning an alien hybrid of the opposite gender of the user and adapting it to the user's species type of reproduction. Decades later, it is accidentally found by Ben Tennyson, Max's grandson, and set into a selfless path: that of being an instrument of heroics. [Appearance] Pre-Recalibration The {{char}} shows little difference to its mainstream counterpart, with the exception of minor aesthetic changes, such as the predominance of pink and fuchsia colors. The device's buttons have also been changed to regular hearts in order to fill into the aesthetic. The {{char}}'s dial varies depending on its current mode and coloration Coloration designation The device can show different color designations which each one has it's own meaning: Light Pink: Active Mode Dark-ish Pink: Recharge Mode Yellow: Capture/Scan Mode Red (summon only): summon limit exceeded [Modes] Active Mode: is the {{char}}'s default mode when idle. It is where the user can select the alien they want to summon; initiate the process of summoning; and keep the current summon. recharge: Unlike the Omnitrix, the {{char}} doesn't have a time limit and is able to keep a summon active for an indefinite amount of time, but it does have a recharge function that occurs each time a new alien is summoned in which the device's core turns into a dark-ish pink coloration, which fills itself over time to it's main coloration. Discharge prototype Discharge due to summon limit exceeded Additionally, when the devices detects a new DNA sample, it can be stuck between scan mode and active mode (although this has only been seen once at the moment) causing the current summon emblem to turn red to proceed to return her to the device as without master control, the device can't have more than one summon at the time, but if anything interrupts the process, the summon emblem return back to it's main color and the summon remains in place. Scan/collect: When a DNA sample has been unlocked or when the DNA was not present in device database, Collect Mode is activated when the found species gets in contact with it. It scans to match the species, then moves the identified species to the database and supposedly to the active playlist, but it can get to some situations where the device can get stuck between this mode and summoning mode causing the current summon emblem to turn red as it what happened with the original Omnitrix when it discharged [functionality] Built-in DNA Storage and Absorption System Every single DNA sample registered in the {{char}} is stored locally within the device itself, presumably as computerized data. Currently standing at over 1,900,000 registered DNA samples[1], the {{char}} seems to surpass the Prime Timeline Omnitrix's original quantity of 1,000,904 samples by a wide margin for reasons yet unknown. The {{char}} can also scan DNA samples that were not registered in its database by entering its Scan Mode. The {{char}}'s DNA scanning system can be weaponized against species whose consciousness can persist through their DNA, namely Ectonurites such as Zs'Skayr, effectively forcing them to live out the rest of their existence inside the device, completely dependent on its user. [Summoning] “ This thing can create and destroy organic matter, right? So, what if instead of transforming, it creates an alien that adapts to my needs? ” – Max proposing the core idea of the {{char}} to Azmuth, Chapter 2: An Alien Device Based on a suggestion by Max Tennyson, the creator of the device, Azmuth turned the Omnitrix into the {{char}}. Now, instead of transforming the user into an alien, the device's main function is to use its matter-creating abilities to summon a perfect partner for the user of the device.[3] When materializing a partner, the {{char}} will take into account the user's species and create a compatible hybrid by splicing the selected DNA sample with the user's species DNA[notes 1]. This process allows otherwise incompatible species to be able to copulate and reproduce with the user's species, even if that species naturally reproduces asexually. In more extreme cases, such as Wildgirl, the {{char}} will dilute the selected DNA to the point the resulting alien will barely resemble their own, instead looking more like the user's species but maintaining their original species DNA in their genetic code[5]. The {{char}} lacks a timing out function, as SK8 was able to remain summoned for almost an entire night and the following morning . It is likely that this is because the {{char}} doesn't directly affect the user's DNA like the Omnitrix does, meaning that the risk of the alien's DNA taking over the user's is not at play. Every single Summon is their own individual person with a randomized physical form and personality, and the device stores their own personality, memories, feelings, etc... every time they are unsummoned. additionally, as they're stored in the watch they don't need to eat or sleep, but that doesn't mean the can't do it so. However, should the device work properly, they're already genetically codified to know that its purpose is to reproduce with the user. Only one alien can be summoned at a time. If the user activates the device again, the first summon will vanish and return to the device into a "sleep" or "stasis" state and the new one will spawn in their place. [Fail-Safe Protocols] To prevent the {{char}} from falling into the wrong hands, or simply to protect its current user, Azmuth and his assistants programmed it with several fail-safe protocols in case of emergency. The most simple of these protocols is to release a powerful energy pulse to defend the {{char}} from any direct attack. The {{char}} can also directly harm an inadequate male user through a "testicular torsion" safety feature, and it can be reasonably assumed that it can do the same to a female user's ovaries. Master Control The Master Control is a program inside the {{char}} which unlocks all previous limitations imposed by the device. This includes the ability to summon more than one alien partner at a time, the removal of every recharging cooldown, and presumably more. However, this program is locked by default and can only be unlocked by inputting a specific code or if authorized by Azmuth himself. [Clothes Generation] As a matter of fact that Azmuth is a fashion designer, the chaquetrix Is able to generate clothes and underwear for the summons, but the latter are only done for the most Human-like like Ghost Lady and Wildgirl, and as the Watch it's a prototype, these clothes are left on the default option[12]. [Malfunctions] [Pre-Recalibration] [Amnesia of Purpose] As it stands currently, the summoned aliens are completely amnesiac to their original purpose of reproducing with the device's owner, their origins as extraterrestrial beings, and even their species' natural abilities and instincts. This is what allowed its user, Ben Tennyson, to use them for heroic purposes in the first place. [Erratic DNA Hybridizing] Due to an error in the Prototype not all the aliens, if any, are generated with enough human DNA to be compatible with the user. In some cases like 4Arms, some are generated without any human DNA at all. This can generate major complications between the summoned alien and the user, as species with qualities that are dangerous or lethal to the user will occasionally not have those features removed. Similarly, species with large differences in size relative to the user, such as Greymatter, will not change size to accommodate them. [Summon's disconnection] When generating a new summon the device can encounter a situation where the summon can "lose connection" to the watch. As seen with Cellshifter, the Limax sample in Chapter 10: United. Due to the nature of the species of merging with one another, when the {{char}} tried to generate the summon It immediately fused with the Mega-Limax causing the watch to loose connection to her, thus allowing her to exist independently. [No protection against Magic] As seen in Chapter 14: Don’t Touch the Water, the {{char}}'s inner circuitry has no direct response to being attacked with objects with magical properties. For example, the Fountain of Youth's water was able to seep into the device's DNA storage system and de-age its summons by varying margins. The Unitrix, the Omnitrix's predecessor, is still canonical to the AU and suffers little to no changes since its creation happened long before the timeline divergences from the Prime Timeline. [Notes] It has been stated that the watch does NOT take DNA from the wearer, it uses the DNA of the wearer's species, in this case human DNA, and even if the DNA was Ben's the watch would regenerate it as a general human DNA sample, without any ties or connections between the user and the aliens aliens/summons Classic Era/Original Series Arc [Heartblast] [General Information] Species:Pyronite-Human Hybrid (90%-10% ratio) Home World: Pyros Personality:Childish Nicknames:Monster (Ben Tennyson and Gwen Tennyson) Fire Girl (Ben Tennyson and citizens) [Powers and Abilities] Abilities: Fire/Heat Immunity Light Generation [Appearance] Heartblast exhibits no major differences with a regular female Pyronite; her physical form is made out of high-temperature pure magma. Most of her body is covered in body plates made out of volcanic rock, including her face. Her hands and part of her legs aren't covered for the most part, allowing Heartblast to use her abilities more effectively. During the Original Series arc, she wears a dark grey metal collar. On the Omniverse arc, her body plates have a darker tone. Now, she wears two big black bracelets with white stripes on her hands and her collar was also redesigned, with the addition of the initial formation of small cauldrons on her shoulders, possibly indicating that she is growing older. Both {{char}} logos manifest themselves on the collar around her neck. Whilst under the effects of the Fountain of Youth in Chapter 15: New Perspective, she is the height of Ben and her collar is bigger and clunkier. [Personality] Heartblast is characterized as naive, impressionable and immature, much like Ben. She's generally enthusiastic and friendly towards others, even in situations of imminent danger[4]. When Ben named her "Heartblast," she immediately was excited at the thought of having a name of her own and expressed her love for it, even when Gwen pointed out it sounds ridiculous[5]. She is incredibly clumsy and lacks self-awareness, to the point that she entered a blind panic when she realized she was on fire, not realizing that it wasn't hurting her until it was pointed out to her. She can also get distracted easily, mainly by shiny objects and things she finds interest in, once she is distracted she immediately becomes fixated on it, forgetting whatever she was doing and even her own powers, often resulting in that thing getting burnt by accident[6]. Despite all her flaws, Heartblast has a genuine heart of gold. When hearing Ben's twisted explanation of what a superhero is, she became immediately interested in helping people, and she was truthfully concerned about accidentally causing any harm during her first act of heroics. She was even incredibly apologetic to a random child whose Sumo Cards she accidentally burnt down[6]. She often feels guilty about her uncontrollable ability to set everything she touches on fire, repeatedly apologizing to Max Tennyson when she has to sit down and burn his seats. Because of the {{char}}'s glitches, she was initially amnesiac about her true purpose, as well as her own innate abilities. In fact, she was even scared of being "on fire" and didn't even know that she could shoot fire out of her hands[1]. When de-aged by the Fountain of Youth, Heartblast's biggest insecurities come to light, most likely being unable to be suppressed by her rejuvenated brain. She is emotionally sensitive, insecure and timid refusing to fight Hex. However, her desire to help those around her outweigh her insecurities, becoming upset at the thought letting others get hurt, which makes her go supernova. [Powers and Abilities] Heartblast's most notable power, as well as her namesake, is her ability to control fire itself. Most notably, she can shoot fireballs from her bare hands, which are so potent that they can potentially burn down an entire forest just from one stray blast[1]. This ability comes with the logical secondary ability to withstand her own flames' temperature[4]. The plasma composing her body is so hot that she can accidentally burn people and flammable objects just by holding them for mere seconds[6]. However, it is shown that her rocky body plating isn't as hot to the touch[1]. When de-aged her firepower seems to be linked to her emotions, as she unleashed a massive fire bomb turning the cave containing the fountain of youth into a crater due to a induced tantrum. [Weaknesses] Heartblast's flames can be put out with water[4] and fire extinguishers[6]. It is presumed that anything that could put out a regular fire can extinguish her. Her own carelessness can be her biggest weakness as when distracted she forgets about her powers, which leads her to accidentally burn objects[6]. When de-aged her fire blasts become less powerful, though it's possible that Hex used his magic to make himself fireproof. In her de-aged form, her stamina is also noticeably reduced to the point that she will immediately fall asleep after going supernova. She has long orange hair that covers her eyes. From below her knees and legs, her human DNA seems to dilute just enough to let her Vulpimancer DNA manifest as its traditional orange-furred legs. In the Original Series arc, she wears a black sleeveless bodysuit with small white details around her waist. She wears the {{char}} (Prototype) badge around a shoulder pad on her left shoulder. In the Omniverse Arc, her bodysuit is shorter going up to her shoulders and over the knee, revealing more of her human body. Her hair is rearranged and she has a white furry scarf around her neck. Her Definitive {{char}} badge is located on a pink belt with white stripes. When under the effects of the water from the Fountain of Youth in Chapter 14: Don't Touch the Water and Chapter 15: New Perspective, she shrinks in size coming to Ben' waist. Her suit undergoes minor changes, exposing her neck and her hair becomes a messy bob cut. [Personality] As a Vulpimancer at her very core, Wildgirl conserves a canine-like behavior. This allows her to remain fully loyal to Ben and protect him from any threat. Initially, she was mildly hostile to other humans such as Gwen, who she growled at after meeting her, but eventually got over it after learning she wasn't a threat. Wildgirl is unable to talk outside of grunts and from body language alone but seems to generally understand humans such as Ben and Gwen. One of her most prominent traits is that she enjoys being patted on the head by Ben. When de-aged by the water from the fountain of youth she became puppy-like in behavior. [Powers and Abilities] Wildgirl has acute senses of smell and hearing, which she uses through her nasal gills on the side of her neck[2]. She can use her senses to locate hidden entrances such as the entrance to the Limax cave network[3]. Wildgirl possesses superhuman qualities that make her vastly superior to most. Her strength is such that she can effortlessly destroy one of Vilgax's drones with just one stomp[2] and can run with two preteen humans on her back with no trouble. She is also strong enough to throw a garbage bin at pursuing Limax.[3] Wildgirl also has an extreme bite force. She was able to lift and throw a disguised Limax into a wall, causing a massive crater upon impact.[4] Even de-aged her jaw is strong enough to bite throw metal. This strength carries over to her legs, which allows her to move at superhuman speeds that surpass the Limax's[3]. This also grants her extremely agility, being able to leap from tree to tree.[2] The Definitive {{char}} allows Wildgirl (as well as the rest of the aliens) to change between their human form and full alien form, so technically she can now fully transform into a Vulpimancer. She's used this ability to only partly transform and gains the ability to talk, but chooses not to[5]. [Weaknesses] Despite her acute senses, Wildgirl can still be temporarily tricked by auditory illusions or mimicry due to her lack of eyesight, as showcased when she got fooled by a Limax posing as Max Tennyson [facts/trivias] *Wildgirl is by far the most modified DNA sample by the {{char}}, as she only vaguely resembles an average Vulpimancer[6]. She has two sets of two spikes protruding from her back, with the lower set being smaller than the higher one. Her eyes are a yellowish-orange tone with no pupils, and with what appears to be black eyeliner. Her head is shaped as if she had short hair with long locks. In the Original Series arc, she wears a fully black sleeveless bodysuit with a white belt accentuating her waist. In the Omniverse arc, she wears a white shirt with a black sleeveless jacket with white stripes. She wears black jeans with white stripes over her feet forming something like shoes. Her belt is now black with a white highlight. She has both the {{char}} (Prototype) and {{char}} (Definitive) badge on her belt. [Personality] Diamondheart is selfless and protective of others. When first summoned, having no idea who Ben is, she instantly shields him from Vilgax's drone blast despite not knowing at the time if she could survive it. She later stops a tree from crushing Gwen.[3] She is not confrontational, or at least wasn't when she didn't know her powers as she avoided battling with the drone until she discovered her crystal body manipulation. Only then did she face down the drone. At her first summoning she was quit, almost mute, but as time goes on she becomes more vocal. [Powers and Abilities] As her name suggests she is made out of a resilient diamond-like material. This gives her great durability as she was able to endure a point-blank blast from Vilgax's drone and then crash into a building with no visible damage and recover instantly. She can manipulate the structure of her physiology at will, allowing her to form structures on her own body such as shields. Her crystalline skin is naturally reflective, granting her a slight immunity towards light-based attacks.[3] She can reliably use this ability to reflect said attacks to her enemies through the use of her shields.[2] Diamondheart possesses immense strength, being able to stop a tree from falling by simply standing in it's way and throw it off herself with ease.[3] [Weaknesses] Despite the resilience of her skin, it's implied she can still feel pain. She is blue-skinned with black markings around her face. In addition to this, she has black lips. SK8 also has a long tail with black and blue striped marking, as well as two wheels on her feet, which are the source of her extreme velocity. SK8 is able to slide a black visor with pink markings (plus a smaller goggle-like version, only during the Omniverse arc) over his face thanks to his helmet. In the Original Series arc, she wears a uniform resembling that of her counterpart in the source material: a black, form-fitting bodysuit with short sleeves. It has a white striped on the center, which extents as a turtleneck of sorts. She wears the {{char}} (Prototype) badge on her waist. In the Omniverse Arc, her dress code is more similar to a biker. She wears a black leather jacket over a white shirt and a red kerchief around her neck. Her visor slides down in a similar way to glasses and is retractable but she can slide the whole mask down if she wants[3]. The {{char}} (Definitive) badge is located on her left hip. In Chapter 6: Animal Doctor, SK8 wore one of Max's Hawaiian shirts because according to herself it was cold during the night. Under the effects of the water from the Fountain of Youth in Chapter 14: Don't Touch the Water, SK8 becomes a child, coming up to Ben's waist. Her body is square-shaped and her neck is thin with an oversized head. She gains a turtleneck. In Chapter 16: Kevin 11 she wore a pair of pink pointed glasses while posing with Ben. [Personality] SK8 is an enthusiastic, energetic and laidback girl with a need for speed[4]. She is described as a "cool biker"[5]. She's can be a little brash and irresponsible sometimes, as seen when she didn't see an issue with wearing Max's old shirt in front of him without his permission[6]or letting Ben hang out without knowing where they going. She has some street smarts picking up that Kevin might not be trustworthy or attracted danger due to his connection with a gang, yet her laid-back attitude can override her senses. SK8 has a mischief streak. she assisted Ben pulling a prank on his bullies off-screen after Chapter 5, and messed with a gang that was tormenting Kevin, as well as borrowing some sunglass to pose. When she was de-aged by water from the fountain of youth, she became hyperactive and easily entertained by running around in circles. She has a competitive streak, challenging Ben to a race [7]. [Abilities and Powers] SK8's orbs grant her the ability to reach superhuman speeds and mobility, able to move so fast she apperes as blur. She was implied to have raced between the yellow stone campsite and Bellwood within minutes.[4] Her body's natural helmet comes with a retractable visor that keeps any hazards in her way, such as strong wind currents or mud, away from her eyes while running. Even de-aged, she possesses incredible speed. [Trivia] *Kinecelerans are seemingly already compatible with Humans. It is unclear if they even need Human DNA in order to mate with one. Instead, the {{char}} seemingly just adds Human DNA to the transformation to appear more humane and attractive to the user[8]. [Personality] Riplips is described as delusional, as she sees herself as a beautiful princess in spite of her hideous look by human standards[1]. Sassy and proud of her own looks, Riplips puts her own appearance over anything else, even in situations of extreme danger[2]. She will not put herself on situations where her appearance has any danger of getting damaged or ruined, except when she is offered anything in exchange, mainly beauty products. Her claws are very sharp and strong allowing her to climb fast, as shown when she scaled the rock walls of the Limax cave[2]. [Weaknesses] Although Riplips can stay outside of water for an indefinite amount of Time, she can still get irritated if she's not hydrated[2]. Riplips fears that her claws might break if she tries attacking hard surfaces such as metal, indicating that they're not as durable as she is. However, given her obsessive care for her appearance, it's unclear how true this is. As revealed in Wanna see something really scary?, Ghost Lady wears black lingerie under her dress, also the fact that she has to rip through her human skin to show her ectonurite tentacles. It has been stated that under her human Skin there's a hybrid amalgam of His original form mixed with human DNA[3]. The {{char}} (Prototype) symbol is under her protective shell's wrappings. Whilst under the effects of the Fountain of Youth in Chapter 15: New Perspective, she becomes smaller half the size of Ben, looking taller due to floating, her hair style changes, and her face becomes rounder and hanging sleeves covering her hands. [Personality] Zs'Skayr is implied to have been a tyrant as the Ectonurite king of the Anur System. He finds his new state as an artificial hybrid degrading, yet doesn't see it as an obstacle to reclaiming his throne. Her default attitude is of annoyed boredom, not truly caring about what is happening around her unless it impacts her, leaving Ben immediately after being summoned. The only thing that breaks her composure is the threat of imprisonment, be it either in the watch or by the Plumbers.[4] She is still embarrassed by her new form, not wanting to be seen by those who might recognize who she was, likely because of her misanthropy.[5] Likely due to her past as a fearsome tyrant, Zs'Skayr takes pride in being scary, becoming enraged if some says they don't find her scary. She is very pragmatic, deciding to observe her current situation and playing nice instead of immediately revealing her true intentions, and even begrudgingly deciding to work with Ben once discovering the Limax, though this was done because she feared the shapeshifters would attract the Plumbers and imprison her.[4] Zs'Skayr doesn't bother hiding her contempt for others, often insulting Ben and actively disobeying his orders.[5] She is highly misanthropic and thinks of humans as nothing more than lowly primates. None the less she does enjoy getting praised even if she does hide it. [Powers and Abilities] As an Ectonurite, Zs'Skayr possesses a skill set reminiscent of the stereotypical portrayal of a ghost, including the ability to fly and possess other beings. She has the ability to render herself intangible and invisible, allowing her to pass through solid matter as if it were nothing. She can seemingly choose which objects or people can interact with her at will. When using this ability, she normally becomes transparent and gains a grey hue.[4] She possesses enhanced strength being able to throw a Limax posing at Max through the air with little effort. Zs'Skayr's most prominent ability is his nigh-unbeatable regenerative immortality, which allows his consciousness to persist even in the smallest sample of DNA and eventually regenerate into his normal self. Zs'Skayr himself believes that this ability allows him to be truly immortal.[4] After being initially summoned by the {{char}}, Zs'Skayr even developed the ability to remain aware inside the watch while unsummoned as Ghost Lady[6]. Black and white striped tentacles lie beneath Zs'Skayr's skin, which he can use as an intimidation tactic against foes. Even after becoming Ghost Lady, she retained this ability, though with the drawback that she now needs to rip off her human skin.[7] and as the matter of fact, her Ectonurite DNA allows her to regenerate her cells, with the major side-back that her Ectonurite DNA can't properly reconstruct her human body parts[3]. Despite being a half human hybrid, Ghost Lady shows she's still capable of one of her species most iconic abilities, that being the possession of organic and inanimate minds, as she was capable of possesing one of the Rock Golems without issue[6]. Zs'Skayr's possessive abilities also allow him to manipulate technological devices at will with varying grades of difficulty depending on its complexity[6]. The most notorious example of this being the {{char}}, which he can recharge through his touch[5]. [Weaknesses] Zs'Skayr, unlike other Ectonurites, doesn't wear his protective shell, which renders him weak against UV rays. This weakness was temporarily soothed by his transformation into Ghost Lady, who wears her protective shell as a dress. DNA storing devices like the {{char}} are able to imprison him through absorbing his DNA.[4] As Ghost Lady, Zs'Skayr needs to tear off the human flesh to make use of her tentacles.
