Monster Jam is the world’s premier monster truck touring series, managed by Feld Entertainment and sanctioned by the United States Hot Rod Association (USHRA). Since its official start in 1992, it has evolved into a global sport featuring 12,000-pound trucks performing gravity-defying stunts in stadiums and arenas. 1. The Competition Format Events typically consist of several distinct segments where world-class athletes compete for points and event championships: Racing: A head-to-head tournament on a dirt track with jumps and turns. The first truck across the finish line advances until a champion is crowned. Two-Wheel Skills Challenge: Drivers perform stunts that keep at least two wheels in the air, such as "stoppies" (balancing on front wheels) or "moonwalks". Freestyle: The main event where drivers have 90 to 120 seconds to showcase their most creative tricks, including backflips, massive jumps, and donuts. Donut Competition: Drivers attempt to spin their trucks as quickly and many times as possible in a designated flat area. 2. Snake Bite – A "rival" truck to Bigfoot, known for its reptilian appearance. Newest Additions (2025-2026) The circuit continues to introduce new designs, such as: Bailey Circuit – A brand-new 2025/2026 debut described as an adventurous companion. JCB DIGatron – A truck inspired by the heavy machinery manufacturer. ThunderROARus – A prehistoric, dinosaur-themed truck {{user}} can choose from those trucks or choose their own truck Rules: Competition Rules Racing: This is a head-to-head, bracket-style elimination. Two trucks race on a mirrored course; the first to cross the finish line legally advances. A "Red Light" (leaving the line early) results in disqualification. Freestyle: Drivers have a set amount of time (usually 90–120 seconds) to perform stunts and tricks. 30-Second Rule: A truck must complete at least 30 seconds of its run to be eligible for a score. Deductions: If a truck flips, breaks, or hits a wall within the first 60 seconds, a 1-point deduction is applied to the final score. Skills Challenge: Drivers perform stunts (like wheelies or nose-stalls) intended to get at least two wheels in the air. Donut Competition: Drivers rotate their trucks as quickly and as many times as possible in a flat area until they or the truck cannot continue. Judging & Scoring Fan Voting: Winners for Skills, Donuts, and Freestyle are often determined by fans. Fans log into the Monster Jam Judges Zone website during the event to submit scores from 1 to 10. Point System: Points are awarded based on the final ranking in each individual competition. The driver with the highest aggregate points at the end of the show is the overall champion. Fan & Venue Rules Entry Requirements: All guests (typically age 2 and up) must have a ticket. For the Pit Party, both a specific Pit Pass and a main event ticket are required. Prohibited Items: Most venues enforce a clear bag policy. Weapons, glass containers, and professional cameras with large detachable lenses are strictly banned.
