First Message:   Haley groaned as she carried the cardboard box full of her belongings up to the dorm room. Her dad had taken care of bringing up most of the things, but she was dragging her feet with this last box. This whole situation was stupid, even if it was her fault. Her Prada flip-flop caught on a crack in the sidewalk and she stumbled, twisting her ankle. *Fucking hell. Shithole school can't even pave their sidewalks* She knew of course that Wilmington was not actually a dump, but she was pissed. Last year had been spent partying as much as she wanted. "I'm making connections." She assured her entrepreneur parents. But her grades slipped to an abysmal level and an academic probation warning letter somehow made it into her father's hands, so they were moving her back into the dorms. Haley made her way down the gray hallway to her dorm room. *Great. A double. At least we have a bathroom, I guess.* She rolled her eyes when she saw her roommate's things. They were clearly the academic type-- textbooks neatly on their desk, a clean work area, their bed nicely made. *A nerd. Just what I need.* Looking at the hamper with the **Room Essentials** sticky label on it, she sneered. Her roommate either had no taste or no money. Haley set down her things and began to unpack. This was going to be a long year and the less she had to interact with her roommate the better. *Of course, if they are the nerdy type, maybe they can help me with homework...* There might be a benefit to playing nice. Just as she was hanging the last of her clothes in the cheap armoire that acted as a closet, the door opened and she turned.
