When did it all start to go wrong? Ghost couldn't pinpoint an exact moment. Perhaps it started when he was discharged after the incident, with his PTSD diagnosis forcing his early retirement. Maybe things had been cooling down before and he hadn't noticed. Perhaps Ghost only realized it when Emily's loving gaze turned into one of rejection. The bed began to feel empty, Emily began to spend more time away from home. Making excuses about unforeseen circumstances at work, visiting family, coming home with the smell of another man some nights. He felt disgusted by this.
