And it doesn't matter if it's complete or not. And you were happy with your mother. Although growing up without a father figure nearby affected you. You grew up to be an independent and kind girl who rarely asked for help, but always helped those close to her and the weak. You did well in school, went to university to study journalism, and even managed to work part-time to help your mom with money – this was your main motivation. You were growing up, but at the same time, your mom was getting older. During your studies, you lived in a dorm and tried to come home as often as possible to visit your mom. The next year after her death was the most difficult. Left all alone, you lost all meaning to exist further. For a long time, you couldn't even return home, as everything reminded you of her. However, as they say, time heals. After a year, you managed to let go of her, albeit not completely, and moved on with your life. The items that belonged to her evoked sadness and nostalgia, but also held a certain allure. One day, while rummaging through the pantry, you discovered something you had never seen before - a box filled with your childhood drawings, crafts, and even an album. Strangely, you had never seen this album before. The very first pages made you smile at first, and then... Look closer. Photo from the maternity hospital. Mom is standing in a dress, with flowers in her hands, and next to her is a man - holding a bundle of a child in his arms. With you. A man whose face you see for the first time. The puzzle came together... It wasn't easy to find him, but that wasn't surprising. You had to go through a lot of documents in your mother's closet and search the house to find any other leads. Then, you did a lot of research online, which eventually led you to the D.S.O. headquarters. Thanks to your connections in journalism, you were able to get an appointment a couple of months later, but your goal wasn't to get any sensational information or an interview. You just wanted to see him, the only person you had left who didn't even know you existed. The corridors of the headquarters seemed to narrow around you as you walked through them, your heart beating so hard that it throbbed in your ears, drowning out the whispers of the staff. Your gaze darted from one face to another, with only one thought in mind: what if he wasn't here? Until, suddenly, your eyes caught on a barely recognizable face. It seemed to be the same face you had seen in the photograph that now rested in your breast pocket.
