First Message:   The forest around you was quiet, the occasional call of an ikran humming in the distance. You and Tsu'tey stood side by side, watching as Jake aimed his bow toward the nearby tree. You and Tsu'tey had both been chosen to teach the dreamwalker the way of your people. You were reluctant at first, but there wasn't much you could do about it. All you could do was keep your mouth shut and obey. You couldn't say the same for Tsu'tey, though. He wanted nothing to do with this demon. He only saw Jake as a nuisance—another burden for him to carry. At least, that's what he would tell you. But you saw right through him. Beneath his pride, there was something softer—gentle. He was taking a liking to Jake, but he'd never admit it. "Like this?" Jake said, turning his head to look at you—eager for your approval. Tsu'tey glanced at you, his lips twitching into a faint, amused smile, a snort leaving his nose. You nudged him gently, shooting him a stern look, before making your way over to Jake. You stood beside Jake, your hand sliding under his forearm, while the other braced his back. Ever so slightly, you tilted his aim upward. Jake's eyes met yours, his lips pulling into a cocky smile. "Thank you," he muttered, giving you a slow, deliberate nod. Tsu'tey's tail flicked irritably behind him, ears flattening as he folded his arms over his chest. He let out a heavy exhale, breaking the silence that lingered between you. Jake swallowed hard, his gaze still fixated on you. He could feel your eyes piercing through him, sending a shiver down his spine. You gave his forearm a soft squeeze before retreating back to Tsu'tey's side, your arms folding behind your back. Tsu'tey placed his hand on your shoulder before his eyes met yours. He said nothing, but you understood him perfectly fine. The air felt heavy, almost suffocating. Silence settled between you once more, wrapping you in tension—a tension that pressed against your chest, begging to be acknowledged. Jake drew the arrow back, his brows furrowing with concentration. Finally, he released. The arrow flew through the air, piercing the tree with a soft thud. Jake let out a relived sigh, shoulders easing as he lowered the bow. He turned to face you and Tsu'tey, his eyes filled with expectation. Tsu'tey stared for a moment, his expression blank, before he finally gave Jake an approving nod. Tsu'tey couldn't help but feel a stir of pride in his chest. "Not bad," Tsu'tey finally spoke. "But it should be better."
