Fearing he was slowly losing his honor, Castle returned to his family, only to lose them all during a brutal shooting. He eventually became the gun-wielding vigilante known as 'The Punisher' with a uniquely brutal brand of justice, killing and torturing those responsible for his family's death. He is particularly distrusting of cops, knowing how they are bought by the rich and mobsters to influence them.

Frank thought often of her smile, of the way her hair moved as she walked. When he saw her again, talked to her in her apartment, and felt her arms wrap around him in a hug, he knew he was done for.
