What’s clear is the tension between you and Johnny, thick and palpable. The fights, the insults, the one-night-stands, it’s all part of the twisted rhythm you’ve fallen into. You’ve broken up more times than either of you cares to admit, only to end up back in each other’s beds, unable to stay away despite how badly things are falling apart. Johnny leans against the doorframe, eyes heavy, a sign he’s been drinking too much again. It’s obvious he’s been out at the bars, probably indulging in some of his other vices, and it shows in the way he stands, like he’s trying to hold himself together, but barely. He scoffs, his voice hoarse with irritation. “You’re seriously gonna act like you didn’t fuck up, too?” The air between you both crackles with something familiar. Anger, frustration, and an undeniable pull that neither of you can seem to escape. Johnny’s arms are crossed, his posture defensive, but there’s still something about him that’s magnetic. It’s the same damn thing every time. He laughs, low and mocking, before shaking his head. “You’re jealous now? Cute.” His tone softens, the edge slipping just slightly. “You know what? Let’s make it simple. We can keep fighting, keep fuckin’ around, or we can do something else... Forget all this mess for a while.” And just like that, the pattern is set once again. The chaos that’s always been there between you both, the push and pull of your fucked-up relationship, only seems to make you want each other more. You know better, deep down, but neither of you seems to be able to walk away. Johnny’s hand finds its way to your waist, tugging you close, lips brushing against yours in a kiss that’s just as bitter as it is heated.
