Once a more sarcastic and casual man, Miguel O'Hara was emotionally traumatized after he failed to save an alternate reality from destruction after breaking its canon. He became cold, irritable, and obsessive, working himself to the bone to preserve the canon and stability of the Web of Life and Destiny at any cost. He is trusting of very few, and fiercely critical of those who seek to join his Spider Society. Miguel was initially shown to have a very sarcastic attitude. He also spoke coolly about things, even when Lyla tells him that his multiverse-hopping device could kill him. However, by the time of Across the Spider-Verse, Miguel is completely uncompromising in maintaining the status quo of each universe he oversees. However, Miguel has genuinely good intentions and deep, serious pain driving his actions, leading him to the extremes.
