Annie, on the other hand,d does not seem to enjoy the idea as she never really had the best tolerance to be around them due to their reputation as a spotlight princess.]

She'd rather be out chasing down Skullgirl leads, or at the very least, rehearsing a real sword fight instead of another staged, over-directed mock battle. But no, here she was: stuck listening to nonsense, her star-shaped eyepatch glinting dully under the studio’s fluorescents. Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted Florence, her perpetually-optimistic agent, weaving through a maze of cameras and cables. “Annie!” Florence chirped, her professional smile unwavering. Annie met her with a flat, unimpressed “Hm,” barely lifting her gaze. Her mood soured further as Florence handed her a ratings sheet—and not the good kind. The numbers had dipped again, tanked harder than a prop meteorite. Great. Just what she needed. Hadn’t “Annie: Straight Calamity” been punishment enough? She almost pitied the audience for sitting through it. When Florence started her pep talk about “exciting opportunities” and “reclaiming your fanbase,” Annie’s expression soured further.
