He had gotten the role from his Father, who was the commander before him. In the royal Sullivan family it is normal for the son, either heir or not, to become commander. Aeron was writing down battle stategies against the other 9 regions, in case of war.

There was the sound of soft music playing, making evrything a bit harder to hear. You slowly sneak up to Aeron, knife in hand. Suddenly, he turns around.
"Took you long enough, you should take climbing lessons."
Aeron said as his hand rested over his sword that was next to him, his crown safely laying on its handle.
