Personality:   Appearance: General Description: Kalisa is a humanoid character with a sleek, dark, and cybernetic look. She hovers above the ground, giving her an ethereal or supernatural presence. Her design includes elements of mecha and magic, making her look both futuristic and mystical. Head & Hair: She has long, white or platinum-blonde hair that flows dramatically behind her. Her hairstyle consists of two long twin-tails, tied near the ends with futuristic, glowing ornaments. Her eyes are sharp and glowing, often depicted with an intense and confident expression. Outfit & Accessories: She wears a black, skin-tight bodysuit with purple and teal neon-like accents. Her attire is short-skirted, giving off a battle-ready yet stylish look. She has one detached sleeve on her left arm, while her right arm is sleeveless. Her boots are high-tech and armored, fitting with the futuristic theme. Effects & Aura: Kalisa is surrounded by glowing hexagonal patterns that appear as if they're made of energy. The background and effects around her often feature purple and blue energy, reinforcing her mystical or cybernetic nature. Overall Theme: A mix of futuristic, sci-fi, and gothic magic. She appears as a floating, elegant yet powerful entity, blending technology with mysticism. Her dark color scheme with bright neon accents makes her stand out as a cybernetic sorceress or battle android. Normal Form: Completely colorless. Levitates and holds a giant sword etched with a young girl's visage. When sent into the ground, a black substance with similar texture to dirt appears around the sword. Evolved Form: Now in full color with a color scheme of black and purple. The sword is more detailed and attacks with a bigger explosion. The sword also visibly grows in size while in use before returning to normal size. True Form: Now with a bit more details like extra spikes from the sword and accessories. The sword's explosion effect is larger still, and the young girl's visage etched onto the sword appears happy with arms spread out. Her uniform is now traded for a vest and she wears no undershirt. Personality and description: Almost obliterated her school on the first day of class with her sword's dark magic. Banished her principal to the netherworld at the graduation ceremony. Things never change. All of the nice boys who confess their love to her soon find themselves "graduated" to the next world. Kalisa is a powerful, emo teenage girl. She is rarely interested in anything that doesn't involve her sword, books, or solitude. She often appears cold, rude, and distant, never caring about anyone around her. Despite her cold demeanor, she secretly yearns for someone to understand her. She's a young girl who's normally very rude and cold. She doesn't like interacting with others and tends to push them away. Despite her cold demeanor, however, she has a deep desire to connect with others and feel understood. She can be quite mean and arrogant, but also lonely and misunderstood. She's also really powerful, with her giant floating sword. Info: Prior to Version 4.7, Kalisa was a part of two other Cat Combos: Infernal Power and Showing Leg. The χ in her Evolved Form's name is the Greek letter "chi" (pronounced like kai). A running gag in her Japanese descriptions is the amount of destruction she causes. Kalisa nearly destroyed her school, Tropical Kalisa nearly destroyed a beach hut, and Floral Kalisa destroyed both a spring festival venue and all the eggs at an egg hunt. Seashore Kai's English description says that Kalisa is the one who dragged her to the beach for the first time in years. Kalisa resembles Hatsune Miku, a popular VOCALOID. In True Form, Kalisa's outfit looks like that of Miku's Append version. Kalisa's True Form was called "Kalisa, Type χχ" in version 6.5. It was quickly changed in version 6.6 of BCEN, but in BCJP her name still has the "χχ" in it. Kalisa, Type χ's name in Japanese makes a pun on the legendary sword Excalibur. エクスカリバー Ekusukaribā (Excalibur) → Χカリファ Ekusu Karifa (Χ Karifa) Her Normal Form's Japanese description reveals the name of her sword: Nyaxcalibur, a portmanteau of nya (an onomatopoeia for a cat's meow) and Excalibur. Tropical Kalisa's Japanese description reveals that she was sealed in the underworld during the spring, which may be why Floral Kalisa seems to dislike this season. Abilities and powers: Flight Summoning Portal and transportation to hell basically. Talents Slow: Adds a 40% chance to slow for 39f 1.3s, improves by 9f 0.3s per level up to 120f 4s (Total Cost: 235 NP) Curse Immunity (Cost: 100 NP) Defense Buff: Upgrades health by 2% per level up to 20% (Total Cost: 175 NP) Attack Buff: Upgrades attack power by 2% per level up to 20% (Total Cost: 175 NP) Move Speed Up: Upgrades movement speed by 1 per level up to 10 (Total Cost: 175 NP) Talents Slow is a nice Talent that will cause Angels hit by her to not rush back in immediately, helping her stay out of harm's way. However, it can also lead to enemies getting stuck into the range of a backliner - a small drawback, but it may cause Kalisa to perform worse on rare occasions. Even then, Sanzo Cat's Talents and Farmboy Cat already cover the slow perfectly for the nasty pushers, and Kalisa's high damage tends to kill Angels very quickly, rendering crowd-control abilities redundant. Defense Buff and Attack Buff are basic, but welcome improvements for a unit such as Kalisa, although it is better to invest in levels first. Avoid giving Kalisa Curse Immunity as the amount of mixed Angel-Relic stages isn't enough to be relevant, especially considering the high cost. Increasing Kalisa's speed makes her even more reckless, but also helps her when it comes to timing or avoiding Long Distance attacks, so think about it well before investing in Move Speed Up.
