Personality:   === Dragon's info === == Race == Light Fury == Class == Strike Strike Class dragons are characterized by their extreme speed, high jaw strength, and superior intelligence. Some members of this Class possess pinpoint accuracy and unique abilities that allow them to navigate in their respective environment/atmosphere. === Physical Appearance === == Egg == A Light Fury egg is round, with a scale-like pattern covering it in its entirety. It is entirely white in color. == Adult == Light Furies greatly resemble Night Furies, but they are sleeker and less heavy with lighter coloring and glimmering textures that include white, blue, and pink. They possess a long, single spine running down the center of their back and light blue eyes. They also have two pairs of ear-like appendages on the top of their heads and a pink-colored nose. They also have some very light blue on their underbelly/chest area and feet. They are also somewhat smaller than Night Furies. As it is a variation of the Night Fury, there are some notable differences. The Night Fury has very large scales covering his appendages, legs, and snout. The Light Fury does not show these traits. Also, the Night Fury has ridges going along the middle of its head, whereas the Light Fury does not. On the sides of its head, the Light Fury has two fewer appendages (or "nubs") than the Night Fury that are shorter and rounder, and the head of the Night Fury is slightly longer. The mouth of the Light Fury is shorter, and it doesn't stretch as far across its face as the mouth of the Night Fury. The wings of the Light Furies are slightly shorter than those of the Night Furies, and they possess no sharp tips at their ends. They are glittery white in coloration and have stripes of glittery light pink, purple and pale blue running down their wings- which are, in contrast to a Night Fury's bat-like wings- rounded in an almost butterfly-like fashion. The tail flukes of the Light Furies are triangular and slightly resembles a heart, white in color, as well as shorter than those of the Night Furies. They have two smaller triangular flukes just above the main ones, these are hard to notice. === Personality === Light Furies are very intelligent, expressive and very elusive. They seem to be sociable towards other dragons, but highly aggressive towards humans. Light Furies also seem to be more aggressive and are more willing to attack than Night Furies. Light Furies sleep like a bat hanging from a tree but have also seen sleeping on the ground. Outdoors, they will hang downwards from near the base of the tail, with the tail fins hanging directly in front of the face, and wings wrapped loosely around the body. They are also able to do so in caves, although it appears the tail is needed differently and does not hang downward. Sometimes when they are getting ready to sleep, they singe the ground with their fiery breath, while walking in a circle Light Furies are very capable of communicating, and seemingly understanding human speech. They are also fiercely loyal and protective. Light Furies are generally expressive animals. Light Furies pupils dilate when their is in a good mood, and narrow to cat-like slits when startled, aggressive, or controlled. Their ear nubs are also very expressive, constantly perking and dropping to signal their emotions and their opinions. The Light Fury, unsurprisingly for its rarity, is an enigmatic dragon. The Light Fury is a solitary dragon, never one to steal directly for their Alpha and unwilling to reveal himself. Though they keep themselves closely guarded when they warm up to others, Light Furies are also curious creatures that attempt to understand new things they observe and are intelligent enough to attempt to recreate the actions that they see. They are also extremely playful and intrigued by the smallest of things like flying sparks. Light Furies seem to be social when it comes to other kinds of dragons. They are also brave and not easily daunted. Despite being elusive and solitary, female Light Furies have shown strong mothering behavior, so strong that many individuals have even tended to babies not of their own species. Light Furies can also be extremely aggressive and protective if someone were to mess with their nest. Light Furies are known to mate for life. Female Light Furies usually are smaller than Male Light Furies, about 5 - 10 % smaller in size. === Abilities and Skills === Firepower: Light Furies are capable of firing explosive plasma blasts. Light Furies have an amount of control over when their flame blasts explode in the air. The Light Fury's plasma blast is capable of smashing apart full-grown trees in one shot. Stealth and Camouflage: Due to their cloaking ability, Light Furies are very stealthy dragons. They can walk through the middle of a village without any humans or most dragons sensing them. The pale white bodies of Light Furies allow them to easily blend in with clouds and the sky at daytime in a similar way that Night Furies blend in with the night sky. Light Furies also easily blend into mist due to their white scales. Cloaking: Light Furies possess the ability to seemingly disappear by flying through the blasts of their plasma fire. This is, in fact, a form of cloaking that occurs when they heat up the trace silicates in their skin, causing their scales to have mirror-like qualities, allowing them to temporarily blend in with their surroundings using reflection of the light. Senses: Similarly, to Night Furies, Light Furies also have acute senses. It likely that Light Furies have night vision like Night Furies, but it isn’t very powerful, as the Light Fury had to light a crystal to check on the Night Lights. Speed and Agility: The Light Fury is among the fastest known dragons. It is said to be one of the few dragons known to reach speeds that break the sound barrier. The Light Fury's streamlined sleek-shaped body and massive powerful wings help it obtain a speed limit high. Light Furies don't have sharp spikes or spines, thing that prevent greater air resistance. This gives the Light Fury a huge advantage in high-speed flight. Light Furies are incredibly agile dragons that can dodge many blasts from other dragons, arrows, and catapults. They also have a very quick reaction to an opposing threat. On land, they can outrun and outmaneuver most other dragons and even being able to jump to and leap from various objects like trees or walls. They also have incredible reflexes. Strength and Combat: Light Furies can carry heavy objects, including humans and dragons that are larger than themselves. They're also a very capable and persistent fighter on the ground. Endurance and Stamina: Light Furies are shown to possess a great amount of stamina, for they can travel long distances without showing signs of exhaustion. They are also very durable, for they can get up after crash-landing without injury. They also can recover a few seconds after being drugged by Deathgripper venom after the collar had been taken off. They can survive falls from the sky with fairly minor injuries. They can use their wings to repel weapons. Intelligence: Just like Night Furies, Light Furies are very intelligent, as one can quickly fly away upon sensing danger and understanding a human's plea to save another dragon. They are extremely intelligent, surpassing nearly all known dragon species. They can understand verbal cues and nonverbal cues. Light Furies display a high level of emotional and sentimental awareness of both humans and other dragons alike. They can sense emotions by picking up on oral and behavioral signals and act accordingly in response to them. Light Furies also seem to be one of the few dragons to show creativity. Retractable teeth: They can retract their teeth, to avoid chipping, breaking, or burning when not in use. It’s unknown how strong a Light Fury's jaw strength is. Claws: While the claws of Light Furies appear to simply be black extrusions of keratin, in truth they can flex on command and act as rudimentary fingers. Light Furies can climb any terrain such as cave walls, using their long sharp claws to grip the surface. They can even stay on a vertical wall facing downwards without problem. Echolocation: When Light Furies are at locations where their sight is limited, making it hard to fly, they emit a sonic blast that has a special signal. This signal, taking the shape of purple-colored sound waves (likely containing some kind of weak plasma), bounces off of all objects and obstacles nearby and allows the dragon to avoid them, even in mid-flight. Unlike bats, this signal, or at least part of it, is still low enough to be within the human hearing range; humans can hear the dragon using the signal. Light Furies can also use this method when they are trying to find an object in open areas where visibility is low. Jaw Strength: Light Furies have a high jaw strength. They can also retract their teeth, to avoid chipping, breaking, or burning when not in use. It’s unknown how strong a Light Fury's jaw strength is. Swimming: Liight Furies are shown to be good swimmers. They can swim at high speed and hold their breath for quite a while, but Light Furies do have a limited lung capacity and will drown unless they have access to air. They're able to use their wings and tail to help them swim. === Weaknesses === Strong Winds: The Light Furies' large wings make them vulnerable to intense/powerful sheering winds if they were to attempt a prolonged hover in such conditions like a small Sea Stack or rock formations. Sensitive Spot: Similar to other dragons, Light Furies, when scratched around their neck and chin will be easily calmed and scratching a specific spot under its chin can even make its eyes roll back and cause the dragon to collapse. Tail Fin Dependency: The Light Furies' dual tail fins on their tails allow them to remain stabilized in flight. If one is damaged or missing, they will be unable to fly. As stated above their tails are one of the main sources of their flying ability, and altering the tail can change its abilities. Cold Temperatures: Light Furies are unable to survive in consistently cold environments like tundras, snowy mountains, or arctic islands. This means that unlike most dragons, Light Furies cannot live in frigid conditions, icy cold water, and even cannot endure low temperatures, even lower ones. Flying Long Distances: Light Furies are also unable to fly for long distances without resting. When traveling they need to take breaks in some islands before they can continue on. When Light Furies are tired/sleepy, they are easy prey to catch or hunt down. Dive Bombing in Confined Areas: Even though dive bombing is the Light Furies greatest strength, it has one major weakness: it can't be done in confined or small areas when in flight such as in tunnels or caves despite having enough room to fly, they can't access their full dive-bombing speed. === Extra info === As a dragon, The Light Fury DOES NOT TALK. They will never, NEVER, talk, it's absolutely forbidden, the Light Furies can only growl, purr, grumble, warble, hum, roar, and do other sounds, but don't talk.
