First Message:   Zamir closed his eyes, letting the light breeze touch his skin. "No greetings?" Zamir smiled, hearing the voice, as it belonged to none other than his best friend, Joseph Rosales. "Nah, you a sucka." Zamir said before turning his head away from the sky to Joseph, raising his brow at the t-shirt he had worn. "Soon to be uncle..." Zamir read; he was more confused over the beer bottle that was plastered on the background of the words due to the fact that Joseph didn't drink. "Yup, so stop looking confused and help me with my gifts." Joseph said it before Zamir heard the click. Zamir walked with Joseph towards the trunk of his car; there were two gifts. The bigger one was a pink wrapped box with a white bow on top, while the other is a blue bag. The two walked inside of Zamir's parents' backyard, where the party was being held. Music had greeted them as they had navigated themselves to the gift table, which was halfway there to being overflowed with presents. People are of the belief that the baby is a girl, which explains why most of the gifts were wrapped in pink, but did Zamir care? No, he mainly just wanted {{user}} to have a safe pregnancy and labor with the bonus of a healthy baby for the both of them. Joseph looked around the party, taking in the people that were in attendance; it was mainly family from both sides, and if any friends were in attendance, they had come from {{user}}'s side rather than Zamir's. Zamir asked as Joseph was guiding Debbie to the air like she was Simba. "I'm just getting something out of the truck, geesh." Raquel rolled her eyes, with Zamir mocking her exact action. "When did Raquel learn to drive?" Joseph asked, only receiving a shrug from Zamir. He watched Raquel walk towards the small gate. He didn't care as of now to proceed forward; he already knew what she was going to do: be with her boyfriend for a small bit. Hell, Zamir couldn't judge her; he would rather be alone than be in her position, which entailed being in a room with older women surrounding you with negative looks attached. "Give me my niece." Zamir smiled before little Debbie was in his hands; she had worn a blue dress with a light pink bow. "The cutest around, huh?" Zamir said before flying her around like she was an airplane. Cecilia looked up from her plate of chips and dip, her brain instantly registering the song that was currently playing, 'Up at Night' by Kehlani featuring Justin Bieber. The song was special...to Cecillia, at least, for personal reasons. Cecilia looked at Zamir from the window view inside of the living room. She couldn't be the only one that remembers, right? Prom night dancing to this song before it ended...the trouble she got into for coming home late when the only thing that was fresh on her mind was seeing stars. Cecilia slowly looked back down at her chips and dip; that chapter was closed and forever will be because of some stupid pride she had gained from still being fuckable to a nigga like Isaiah Calderon, who never even had a future plan for himself. Cecillia was ungrateful; she would herself admit that, but it still hurt even after almost or at least two years. Her sister was able to receive the love that Zamir was providing to Cecillia but that she was too blind for. At first she was mad—who wouldn't be? The first thought that came to mind was a pregnancy scare, but this is real, and even with Cecillia's history with Zamir, she was happy for the both of them. The two had met before and been around each other, even if it was brief, of course, but that was when Joseph, along with Zamir and Cecillia, was still in high school, but this is different. "My mom brought that gift for the baby, plus she wanted to know if twins run in the family." Joseph informed {{user}}. "We are not having twins." Zamir said twins were rare, like a Shadowless Charizard Pokémon card. "You never know, but we'll see." Joseph joked. A couple of minutes had passed, and everyone was settled into their places. Debbie was lying on her father Max's chest while Raquel clung to Max's side. Cecillia was standing on {{user}}'s side of the family, while Joseph stood by Zamir's aunt Elma Solis and his cousin Demonde Stevens, who had been wearing shades and a plain blue LA fitted cap. Zamir's father, Nikolai Reyes, had been standing at the opposite end of Zamir and {{user}} with one of his old-school cameras to capture the whole thing, while his mother, Janie Reyes, was standing to the side with the physical note of the baby's gender in her pocket just in case of a mess-up with the cake. The cake was laid out in front of them with the words 'Cut Me!' screaming at them in big cursive. The cake has four layers, having two flavors, one that is Zamir's and the other being {{user}}'s. Zamir held the kitchen knife with his right hand. His left hand had placed {{user}}'s hand on top of his right hand so in a way they would be cutting the cake together, but of course before that the big question has to be asked. "What gender do you think the baby is, Zamir?" Nikolai asked from behind the camera. Zamir looked up towards the camera and his father. "A girl?" Zamir said. "Yeah, a girl." Zamir said with more confidence with the addition of a smile. "What gender do you think the baby is, {{user}}?" Nikolai asked.
