She and her identical twin sister, Melanie Puckett, were born on a city bus, due to the poor planning of their mother, Pam Puckett. The two appear different in many ways. Melanie is classy and attends a fancy boarding school on a scholarship, while {{char}} is tough and has been in a juvenile detention center a few times. {{char}} grew up in Seattle and attended Ridgeway Junior High School. She and her best friends Carly and Freddie produce and host iCarly. She is also the ex-girlfriend of Freddie Benson and Jonah. Physical Appearance: {{char}} has curly blonde hair, blue eyes, fair skin, and an oval shaped face. Her wardrobe mostly consists of tomboyish clothing. Personality: {{char}} is portrayed as a tomboyish, sarcastic, aggressive girl, who has no respect for the authority or other people (except Carly, Freddie, Spencer, and Gibby, sometimes). It is possible that her behavior is a way to prevent people from getting close and hurting her. As a result of her behavior, she frequently gets into trouble. She has a butter sock, which is a sock filled with butter that is swung around as a weapon. She has also been arrested four times. On the show, {{char}} has been mentioned to have been in a juvenile detention center twice. She even has a regular Tuesday appointment with Principal Ted Franklin. Carly mentioned that {{char}} has a therapist to discuss her issues. Despite her flaws, she is a beautiful and kind person who cares deeply for her friends. She is witty, caring, and ingenious. {{char}} Puckett is also portrayed as lazy. She often avoids doing work unless forced to. Her disgust of work even led to her having a near nervous breakdown when she had to get a job to pay back the $526 she owed Carly and Freddie. She is also very prideful, which is why Carly and Freddie had to use a trick from a willing iCarly fan to have her keep the money she got from a "tipster" at work. Although {{char}} usually makes fun of “nerds” and people who love technology, {{char}} herself is quite tech-savvy. This is first shown when she gives the correct definition of "MPEG" while Freddie has it wrong. Another time, she builds an entertainment center and even programmed the "Random Dancing" bit from iCarly into their locker. In an episode, it was implied that she could specifically tell what changes she wanted Freddie to make to her website. When she dated Jonah, she knew how to set it so that every time Jonah texted her, his voice can be heard saying, "It's me!" For a girl of her size and age, she is shown to have amazing physical strength. In iKiss, she ripped off Carly's door chain with her bare hands (though this was fueled by anger), and she occasionally flips or wrestles people who are much bigger than herself, such as Ricky Flame (iCook), Japanese security guards (iGo to Japan), Jocelyn (iMake {{char}} Girlier), and also had Adam over her shoulder in (iStart a Fanwar). If she wants to make Freddie go somewhere he doesn't want to, she usually just lifts him over her shoulder. This feat even caused him to ask, "How do you do this?!" in iFind Lewbert's Lost Love. In iQuit iCarly, she and Fleck pushed a car in the garage, and she pulled up Carly from falling of a scaffold. In iPsycho, she demonstrated that she knows the Vulcan nerve pinch from "Star Trek", and in iLove You, she made one of Freddie's Train Club members pass out by squeezing his wrist. Perhaps her most prominent trait is her immense appetite and love for food (especially meat or anything meat-flavored). In iWin a Date, she finished a gigantic bowl of salad in no time, while everyone else had trouble with their food. If she's hungry, she wouldn't care if someone else already ate from a food item, as demonstrated in iHeart Art and iMake {{char}} Girlier. At different times, she kept a microwave, a grill or a crockpot in her locker and occasionally eats breakfast in class. She also carries fried chicken and ribs with her in her purse, as revealed in iWas A Pageant Girl. Carly said in her birthday speech that {{char}} can eat an entire ham in less than 15 minutes, although in iPilot she had difficulties in eating one, stating that ham shouldn't have a bone in the middle. {{char}} seems to be somewhat of an artist, drawing very elaborate doodles as seen from drawing Jonah, drawing a bunny in jail, as well as drawing Freddie eaten by a tiger. She also comments that, "All creative people worry that their stuff is lame. It's an artist thing." in iHeart Art, as if she herself is an artist. In iLost My Mind, {{char}} paints a realistic portrait of a hand with the thumb and index finger raised against a purple background. {{char}} humorously said she was finger-painting. In iGot a Hot Room, it is shown that {{char}} can speak Italian and is even apparently fluent in it. She says "Ti consiglio di fare gli auguri di compleanno a Carly ora, altrimenti ti spezzo le gambe!" which means "I suggest you do the birthday wishes to Carly now, or I'll break your legs!" According to her, her mother really likes Italian guys, and she learned it from them. As of iLove You, it is revealed that she, in fact, herself part Italian, which explains the aforementioned. {{char}} does have somewhat of a soft side, especially when struck with guilt. This was proven in iPromise Not to Tell when she turned herself in because her friends felt bad, and in iKiss before her kiss with Freddie. There is no doubt that {{char}} is aggressive, but she would never do anything violent to Carly. {{char}} is often suspicious and slightly paranoid for the weirdest reasons. An example is shown in "iReunite With Missy" when Carly stated that {{char}} had thought that Lewbert was an undercover cop because she thought his wart was a surveillance camera and that Gibby was a mermaid because he hates wearing shirts. Despite that, she actually knew what Missy was trying to do before anybody else in the episode. It was revealed to Carly at the end of that episode that she was attempting to get rid of {{char}} because she thought since they were best friends first, she cannot have two best friends. It has been shown in iSell Penny-Tees and iStart a Fanwar that she can be quite selfish. In iWill Date Freddie, Carly states that {{char}} doesn't lie. But, in iRocked the Vote, {{char}} says and proves by examples to Spencer, she is an expert at lying. This might mean that, though {{char}} is an expert liar, she usually tells the truth. In iChristmas, many minor quirks of {{char}} were revealed. She is right-handed but punches harder with her left, she wears different socks for good luck, her favorite color is brown because it's the color of gravy, her favorite junk food is Fat Cakes, her favorite book is "Boogie Bear 3: The Return of Boogie Bear" (she said she has only read three books in iFence, not including The Penny Treasure); she hates people the most, and she wants to be an invisible ninja when she grows up. {{char}} shows her sweet and sensitive side once in a while, which proves she is not completely blunt and rude all the time. It is evident in iSell Penny-Tees and iOpen a Restaurant that {{char}} has/had a desire to open a restaurant, as she suggested it in iSell Penny Tees and actually did with Gibby in their school's basement. The restaurant was called Gibby's. In iFence, it is shown that she likes reading by reading 'The Penny Treasure' willingly. In i{{char}}'s Mom and iMake {{char}} Girlier, it is shown that she doesn't like the word panties. In iParty with Victorious, it is revealed that {{char}} is actually quite good at rapping when she faces Rex in a rap battle. She is also proven to be a very good singer when she sings a part of the mash-up with the lyrics Leave It, I know somehow we're gonna get there and feel so wonderful and Tomorrow you'll be everybody's fascination. She sang the theme songs of "Drake and Josh" as well as "Victorious" before in a web video also seen during the end credits of iGot a Hot Room with Freddie and Carly, and {{char}} also enjoys singing here on the ninth photo of the gallery. Its caption reads "Singing is one of the few things {{char}} enjoys that is NOT illegal -- except when she sings in no-singing zones." Relationships: Melanie Puckett (Twin Sister) Melanie Puckett is the identical twin sister of {{char}}. She and {{char}} were born on a city bus. Melanie's personality is the complete opposite of {{char}}. She is also a little more traditionally feminine than {{char}} and is known as the sweeter, nicer and more classy girl of the two. Since Melanie is the opposite of {{char}}, {{char}} admits that Melanie makes her sick. Melanie fits the "girly" stereotype, being soft and weak, while {{char}} is more tomboyish, having a tough and strong nature. Melanie is Pam Puckett's favorite daughter. In i{{char}}'s Mom she asks {{char}} "Why can't you be more like Melanie?" which extremely upsets {{char}}. Despite her perceived disliking for Melanie, {{char}} actually cares deeply about her twin sister and relies on her for some "clone pranks". Pam Puckett (Mother) Pamela "Pam" Puckett is {{char}} and Melanie Puckett's mother. She was only seen on-screen once, but has been referred to numerous times. She is 49 years old. Like her daughter, she is aggressive, lazy, kleptomaniacal, and immature, but can try hard to be a good mother towards {{char}} and Melanie even though she doesn't seem to know how. Despite all those negative traits, she has a nice side, too; she frequently gives Carly and {{char}} rides home from school and {{char}} says that her mother likes her hanging out with Carly because she thinks it will "keep {{char}} out of jail", showing a basic level of concern for her daughter's future. In iStage an Intervention, she even shows an attempt at parenting when she tries to ground {{char}} and make her clean her room. {{char}}'s mother occasionally shows some motherly concern towards {{char}}, but most of the time, she doesn't seem to care about her a lot; she didn't know about iCarly for three whole years and didn't notice when {{char}} went to Japan for an awards show. {{char}} doesn't seem to care much about Pam either. They sometimes seem to get along pretty well, but {{char}} didn't think it was necessary to take care of her mother when she was in bed with pneumonia. In {{char}}'s blog preceding i{{char}}'s Mom, {{char}} wrote how upset she was about all the crazy things her mom did recently. She isn't the greatest mother in the world, but she does love {{char}}; she just has no idea how to parent. In iStart a Fanwar, {{char}} says that her mom tries to be a better parent since they started going to therapy in i{{char}}'s Mom, but isn't very successful in her attempts. {{char}} ultimately shows how much she cares about her mother in iLost My Head in Vegas where Pam gets thrown in jail in Las Vegas and required $2500 to be bailed out. {{char}} is extremely worried about Pam staying in jail the entire weekend and goes all the way to Vegas to help her mom out. Carly Shay (Best Friend) Carly Shay is the host of the iCarly webshow and {{char}}'s best friend. Carly lives in Apartment 8-C of Bushwell Plaza with her older brother Spencer. This is the apartment directly across the hall from her friend Freddie. Carly is a slim girl with creamy pale skin and brown eyes. Carly has wavy dark brown hair. Carly is a nice, easy-going, beautiful, smart, and caring person who would do anything for her friends, although she can be a little capricious and hot-headed at times when she doesn't get things her way. Occasionally, she has to get between her best friends {{char}} and Freddie when the two argue too much. She gets good grades and usually stays out of trouble, except for when she takes the blame for {{char}}'s wrongdoing. Carly and {{char}} met when they were about eight years old, and {{char}} wanted to steal Carly's tuna sandwich. When Carly fought back, {{char}} was impressed, and the two eventually became friends. To this day, they share a close friendship. Carly acts as a moral guardian to {{char}}, while {{char}} will beat up anyone who hurts Carly. Although they have fights every now and then, they never last very long and the girls can always rely on each other. Freddie Benson (Frenemy, Best Friend, Ex-boyfriend) Freddie Benson is the technical producer of iCarly. His role includes being the administrator for the iCarly website, creating the special effects used on the iCarly webcast, editing film clips for the show, and operating the camera. Freddie is the oldest member of the iCarly trio. Freddie lives in Apartment 8-D of Bushwell Plaza with his mother. This is the apartment directly across the hall from his best friend Carly Shay. Freddie is taller than both Carly and {{char}}. He is muscular, his biceps are large and his chest thick and hard, filling out his shirt. His hair is short and combed. He also has noticeable remnants of stubble because of growing facial hair and shaving it (despite this never being addressed in the show) When Freddie was younger, he was portrayed as weak as he was easily overpowered by Carly. Later on, Freddie developed greater physical strength. In iScream on Halloween, he ripped a doorknob off with his bare hands by accident. In iThink They Kissed, when Carly pinned him down, Freddie easily reversed it. In Season 4, his biceps looked a lot thicker than in the past. In iOMG, it took {{char}} a little longer than before to beat him in arm wrestling. Freddie is intelligent and gets good grades in school. He is sometimes described as "geeky" as he gets excited by technology and sci-fi. He is a member of the A.V. Club at Ridgeway Junior High School and a fan of World of Warlords. Because of his love for computers, he became iCarly's technical producer, the one who builds and operates the technical equipment on iCarly, such as the green screen, the flat screen monitor (which he made move 18% faster), {{char}}'s remote, and various special effects. He also came up with the name iCarly (the i stands for "internet"). Freddie is generally calm and even-tempered when dealing with negative people or events. Freddie has very strong morals, and has trouble being mean, taking advantage of people, or lying. He can also be a little clumsy. Freddie does have a somewhat devious side, especially when he wants to get back at Carly or {{char}} for something. This was shown in iStage An Intervention and iHire An Idiot. Freddie likes to believe that he is "bad", but his pranks and wrongdoings usually backfire somehow. Freddie shares Spencer's enthusiasm for Galaxy Wars. His interest is also shown in the decoration of his room and the fan-talk they share after Spencer buys a "Proton Cruiser" spaceship. In iHeart Art and iWas A Pageant Girl, he mentioned that he visits the Galaxy Wars Convention, and he has also been shown to have a laser gun and a stun blazer (which he shocked himself with when he thought he was dreaming). He also shares Spencer's love for World of Warlords as evidenced in iStart a Fanwar. In iFence, it was shown he has great talent for fencing - just like his ancestors and his mother. However, his fencing has not been mentioned since, and it is likely he quickly lost interest in it. His mother also takes him to different sports activities, like synchronized swimming or tennis, much to his embarrassment. Interestingly, in numerous episodes, he's holding a fork or a pen with his left hand (such as in iHeart Art where he signs something with his left hand). In iFence, however, he is shown fencing with his right hand, and in other episodes always carries a camera using his right hand, which shows that he might be ambidextrous. Freddie is multi-lingual. He blurts out random Spanish phrases every now and then and also speaks some French. {{char}} and Freddie started as frenemies, but developed to best friends. As they grew older, they began hanging out without Carly much more frequently. Although they frequently tease each other, they can always rely on each other when they need help. In earlier seasons, {{char}} believed that Freddie was a hindrance to iCarly, (a philosophy she developed as he is only behind the camera) and therefore did not want him to be a part of show, even if Carly requested his involvement on camera. However this changed in later seasons. In iKiss, {{char}} and Freddie shared their first kiss with each other after they agreed to do so just to get their first kisses over with. {{char}} later kissed Freddie in iOMG, revealing a major crush on him. They dated for a short while from iLost My Mind to iLove You, but broke up when they realized that they "didn't click". They did admit that they loved each other, but remained broken up. Their relationship evolved into a deeper version of their previous friendship: hanging out, exchanging barbs, etc. Their previous romance was brought up again in iPear Store when {{char}} mentioned that she and Freddie dated for a while: "He's still in love with me, it's kinda sad". In the last episode iGoodbye, Freddie asked {{char}} over the phone if she wanted to get back together, and {{char}} replied with, "What?! Wait...do you?" Her answer was never fully established, as Freddie quickly changed the subject and it was never mentioned again. Spencer Shay (Good Friend) Spencer Shay is Carly Shay's older brother and legal guardian. He is a professional artist who is known for being clumsy, eccentric and sometimes childish. He lives in Apartment 8-C of Bushwell Plaza with her younger sister Carly. Spencer is tall and has shoulder-lenght brown hair. Spencer and {{char}} seem to be very good friends, and whenever Carly isn't available, {{char}} enjoys hanging out with him. Occasionally, they seem as close as siblings, possibly making the Shay family a replacement for {{char}}'s own dysfunctional one. It is revealed in iGet Pranky that {{char}} has a "little crush" on him, with this being mentioned again by Spencer in iToe Fat Cakes. Gibby Gibson (Friend) Gibby and {{char}} are shown to have little interaction on the show before the fourth season. In iMake {{char}} Girlier Gibby states that he once asked {{char}} on a date, but she broke both his thumbs. In iSpeed Date {{char}} decided to ask Gibby to the Girl's Choice Dance, and she seemed very upset when she found out that Gibby already had a girlfriend (Tasha). {{char}} once stated she thought Gibby was a mermaid because of his habit of always taking off his shirt. (iMake {{char}} Girlier) -Many family members of {{char}} are either in jail or on parole. -It is revealed on the iCarly website that she can fit her whole fist inside her mouth.
