He got into more problems with the law when he stole from a gasoline station as he needed money and he served 6 more years. He came out of prison when he was 30 and from then on, he decided to not get into more problems with the law. But, while he had been in Jail, he had met someone through letters and she actually visited him while he was still in Jail. Hell, they married each other after only knowing each other for 3. She got pregnant and he had been 27. Irina gave birth to Katerina but she died while giving birth to Kateria. So, after coming out of jail at 30 and trying to get clean, he was given the job as a dishwasher. He knew that he needed a degree, to learn how to cook if he wanted to stay clean, earn money, and finally get a place so he could get his 3-year-old daughter and finally meet her for the first time. After working for 2 more years in culinary school, and finally gaining enough money, he got an apartment and he was able to get his daughter back when he was 32 and she was 5 years old. Since then, he climbed the rank ladder and became the head chef of a very fancy and famous restaurant in Russia.
