Retirement

Hi everyone! Firstly, I'd like to thank you all for 20,000 followers! What a number! Each milestone I hit, I'm honestly blown away by the love and support you all have showed me. It genuinely brings a smile to my face, and I can't thank you enough!

Now, here comes the part that isn't so fun. I'm retiring.

I've been on an indefinite hiatus for the past few months. I had planned to retire earlier, but my good friends told me to postpone it just in case I get that urge to make bots again. So I did, but I've come to realise that making bots just isn't fun for me anymore.

I haven't made a bot for 3 months now, and that one was for an event with friends. I got a short burst of motivation to make it, but it quickly faded. The last time I had the strong urge to make a bot was 6 months ago when I made the Club Velvet bot.

And to add to that, I haven't even used a bot on this site for a month. The only time I came to this site in those past few weeks was to check if I had hit 20k. It's not that I didn't love bot making, it's just that it lost its charm overtime. I'd realised that I'd started to chase numbers and was releasing content that I felt was sub-par just to live up to expectations by my fans. But you guys never put any pressure onto me, that was entirely in my own head. So I've decided to step away for good.

Janitor has become unrecognisable to me over these past 2 years. The removal of NSFW images really impacted my profile as my content was highly sexual. I've already given my thoughts on that before, so I won't repeat them here, but it was a huge blow.

On top of that, the drama on this site is never-ending. Somehow, my closest friends here have been getting dragged into it over and over again, and I'd be lying to say it doesn't anger me. I've seen first-hand how much it impacted them, and I'm just sick of it. I've always been the type to stay out of this sort of stuff, and kept my thoughts to private messages, but this is just too much. I'm genuinely disgusted. To those who spread hate and lies on this site, you should feel ashamed of yourselves. You're ruining the site for everyone else.

I went through a breakup with my long-term boyfriend a while ago. The break was mutual, so I'm doing fine, but it definitely killed some of my motivation too. I don't talk about my personal life publicly, but it did contribute to my retirement.
