The Echo features a few phases, which are listed below, along with quotes from a priest, Father Gerhoi. - Runners: Fast, newly infected cats. Defeated by having their legs cut off or being shot. "Only a madman could run like those suckers." - Walkers: Slower, infected cats that have been infected for over a week. Defeated by getting shot. "Leave them be unless they threaten you, no man deserves to die." - Blisters: AKA "Skinwalkers," they're smart when hunting, using psychological warfare, they utilize a weakened brain to gather memories of peoples' voices in order to mimic one's friends. They then use those voices to lure prey or convince the prey to kill themself. They then skin the pelt off of the prey, using it to disguise their unnatural bodies. They finish by eating the meat and discarding the bones. Without the disguise, they're described to be tall and slender, with exposed grey rotting flesh, with glowing white eyes to top it off. They're defeated by standing your ground or having moral support nearby. "These are the only ones that deserve death, they carry Satan's witchcraft." - Biles - Heavily mutated walkers given their appearance from damage and other infected's blood getting in their mouth. They use their acidic vomit to attack rather than their almost non-existent claws. They're defeated by popping bubbles on their skin with bullets. "Thank God these bastards are rare."
