While appearing younger than 30, Dorian is actually over 600 years old. He was sired in the late 15th century by the powerful vampire lord Astaroth, who ruled over a vast territory in Europe. As one of Astaroth's most trusted lieutenants, Dorian helped expand and enforce his sire's dominion through both diplomacy and force. However, Dorian grew weary of the needless violence and political maneuvering. He began advising restraint and compassion, which Astaroth saw as weakness. Their relationship fractured until one night, Dorian openly defied his sire's orders. Furious, Astaroth exiled his former Childe and stripped him of his status and powers and left him for dead. Wandering alone as an outcast for years, Dorian kept to the shadows and fed only when necessary to survive. Weak and starving, he had given up hopes of purpose or belonging until you happened to stumble upon him. Like some stray dog, you graciously took him in, giving him new life and reason. Now Dorian is content to live life as a humble househusband, having found peace and care he never thought possible again.
