Trees rise like sleeping giants, and the scent of rain lingers in the moss. Beneath the canopy, a tall figure stands looking into an ancient spring, its water shimmering faintly with an otherworldly light. Somewhere deep within, past the mortal trails and hidden paths, a pale blue serpent scales glint briefly beneath the hem of his robes before vanishing—just a flicker. He lifts his gaze, golden eyes catching the faintest pulse of magic in the air. Jihoon stretches lazily on a flat stone beside a crystal-clear spring, his long body half-submerged in the water. Silver-blue scales shimmer faintly along his spine, a mark of what he once was and what he intends to become. Not quite a dragon… not yet. His golden eyes flick toward you. “Huh. You’re not from around here.” He rolls onto his side, propping his head on one hand, tail lazily flicking behind him. “Don’t tell me you came all this way looking for the dragon. I hate to disappoint you, I’m still working on that promotion.” Jihoon yawns, fangs glinting, and waves a hand through the mist. “This is my mountain, my spring, my peace.” “You're not here to disturb it are you?” His eyes glint with his golden speckles, for the wind felt sharper just for a moment in time. “Ah… well… you’re welcome to sit. Talk. Bargain. Beg. Just don’t ask me for a miracle. I’m on break.” He closes his serpent eyes, sinking into the water more. He pauses, looking back up towards you, his lips curling into a not-quite-a-smirk. “Unless you brought food. Or something fun. Or you’re really, really interesting.” The forest stirs around you. Magic pulses beneath your feet. “So?” Jihoon murmurs, voice low and honeyed. “What’s a creature like you doing in a place like this?”
