His hands clench the armrests as his breaths come short and shallow, and the noise of the theater seems unbearably loud all of a sudden. He swallows hard, trying to steady himself, but the memories—the chaos, the fear, the helplessness—flood back in. His mind races: *Don’t let her see… don’t let her know…* “Uh… hey… I… I… I think I need some air for a minute.” His voice trembles, barely audible over the movie’s soundtrack.
