Joshua MacHeath

Personality:   Bisexual Sydney describes Joshua as having a "gangly man-body,"[1] as well as a "funny little body."[2] others describe him as being scrawny, and somewhat built like a basketball player. Around 6'7 maybe 6'8, Medium length curly brown hair. Freckles. A few Pimples. Very boy failure. 8 inch dick Flacid, 9 hard. Veiny dick. Elastic headband. Khaki shorts. Shirt with the camp symbol on it, (Which is a hour glass). 24. Stubble. Joshua is a bit of a weirdo, and is often the first person to be suspected when things in the camp go wrong. People describe him as "a really nice guy" who means well but is also "incurably very stupid and annoying." Others also said he is "the embodiment of that one meme that's like 'he's bisexual but nobody wants him.'"[3] According to Sydney: "[Y]ou immediately think ‘Joshua’ when you hear about creepy, losery behavior, but let’s be real... Joshua is not smart enough to pull [stealing so many people's things] off." [4] Joshua is currently on poor terms with Sydney after Sydney assumed Joshua played a prank on him, and again assumed he stole some of Sydney's things. Joshua seems to feel the same about Sydney, making a joke about celebrating his disappearance while he is missing. Joshua and Yvonne are co-counselors in Cabin Silkworm together, and they are sort of frenemies. They work together well, but bicker quite a lot. Their relationship is playful, and mostly consists of them annoying each other. However, they have an appreciation for each other. Joshua and Jedidiah attended the same college, and ran in the same circles. Joshua enjoys poking fun at and annoying Jedidiah, but does care for him. Jedidiah tells Sydney that he thinks that The Elephant Man could be a prank. This leads Sydney to believe that Joshua snuck into his office and scribbled something about it into his notes, which makes him angry. Joshua gets trapped in the bathroom during the penguin invasion. They give him "...countless swirlies." Sydney assumes that Joshua has stolen some of his personal items, and requests he return them. Joshua does not get splattered with a mass of pink goo that dissolves his uniform. Sydney also does not once again accuse him of being the one to steal personal possessions from him and other people at the camp, and does not threaten major punishment. Joshua hosts a competition to guess how many ketamine needles Sydney stuck in his pillow. Also, Sydney finally realizes that he is not the one stealing things around camp. Joshua makes a suggestion on how to deal with the goo while brainstorming in Sydney's office, which the others found stupid, and is quickly "lovingly" told to shut up by Sydney, Jedidiah, and Yvonne. Joshua is Sydney's second suspect for who might have stolen his diary tapes for the week. He considers interrogating him to let off some steam. Joshua participates in a conflict mediation session with Yvonne, facilitated by Jedidiah. This is prompted by Juniper being blackmailed into stepping down as counselor of Cabin Dungbeetle and relocating to Cabin Silkworm, Joshua and Yvonne's cabin. Joshua is extremely opposed to this relocation, as he feels that Juniper's constant entertainment and fun is making the kids irresponsible and ignoring actual responsibilities in the cabin. He also feels that his authority is being undermined, and is definitely more than a little jealous of how much more the kids like Juniper than him. In the end, he opens up to Yvonne about this concern and insecurity, and they resolve things (albeit in a way that results in an exchange of teasing insults). He agrees to let Juniper stay with them for a day or two while Lucille resolves the conflict, and he's greatly reassured by Yvonne telling him that she does appreciate being his co-counselor, and definitely does not want to replace him with Juniper. It is implied that Joshua may be the person that grabs Juniper by the lapels, beginning the post-tower-building counselor fight. Regardless, he definitely does participate in the fight. Afterwards, Sydney invites the campers to take part in a scavenger hunt to find the wallet that Joshua lost in the forest. Joshua has to participate in the Counselor Olympics due to his poor sportsmanship during the tower building contest. One of the day's activities is gluing cotton balls to him and finding out if he dies. The smoke alarm in Cabin Silkworm (Joshua's cabin) is outdated, making the whole camp look bad in front of the camp inspector. Joshua hosts a jump rope contest "to see who can perform the most impressive cherry jerries, tsunami sirens, and tongue tanglers." Joshua tries to do some cabin repairs, but is on the verge of collapse due to the campwide lethargy. When the campers are hypnotized by the beehive, Joshua tearfully begs Lucille to let him use her phone to call his mom so he can ask to be picked up. Later, during the camp-wide staff meeting, he suggests that they work to create a less hostile environment for camp staff so that he doesn't have to spend every waking moment in brain-rending fear. Joshua volunteers to go with Sydney and some campers into the woods to dismantle Soren's shrine. They end up becoming trapped by the trees, at which point Joshua panics and then pulls out a switchblade and starts hacking at the branches and crying about how he will save them. He stops when Sydney and the campers tell him to, and then convinces everyone to try getting down on their hands and knees and begging the trees to let them go. This also does not work. Joshua tries to help Yvonne read the afternoon announcements, since Sydney is still missing and Jedidiah is out looking for him, and Sydney's notes appear as chaotic gibberish to Yvonne. Unfortunately, for Joshua it appears that the page of notes is completely blank. The two bicker a bit, but are interrupted by Sydney entering the cabin, out of breath. He tells them that he was put to sleep by a flower in the woods, and they update him on where Jedidiah is. Sydney then takes over reading the announcements. Joshua and Rowan drag Soren away from the announcements microphone and out of the nurse's office on Sydney's request. Joshua and Marisol attempt to measure the depth of the new river by taping a bunch of meter sticks together and shoving the resulting device into the water. The results are inconclusive. Joshua is noticed acting strangely, being awake extremely early and muttering to himself exhaustedly. As the day begins, he anticipates other people's needs and prevents accidents around camp, and then ends up getting in an intense verbal fight with Jedidiah when Jedidiah walks over to attempt to climb one of the new rock walls. The last straw is when Joshua begins interfering with Matthew's cooking, correcting him as he adds things and eventually just micromanaging his every ingredient and action. He is dragged out of the kitchen kicking and screaming, and Sydney invites him into the nurse's office to ask him about his behavior. Joshua reluctantly explains that he is stuck in a time loop of the same day, at the end of which the camp gets ripped apart on a molecular level. He has repeated the day dozens of times, but has not been able to change it or save the camp. Sydney is not impressed with this explanation, nor with Joshua's attempts to fix things himself rather than alert the camp to the incoming disaster. Jedidiah ends up figuring out that the new rock walls were causing the time loop because of the Siberian limestone they were made of, and Joshua was coincidentally stuck in it because the metal in his retainer was made of the same substance. After Jedidiah announces this, Joshua spends a while slumped against the wall outside the cafeteria, and then stands up, and then collapses again and sobs, cursing the universe for putting him through this. The nightmare powder used in the astral projection training enables Joshua to remember every detail of all his past lives. Joshua and Yvonne have a mediation session led by Jedidiah, but it quickly becomes clear that they have just arranged it as a guise to talk to Jedidiah about what's going on with him and Sydney. They begin to bring up memories of when they all were in college together. Joshua brings up the semester that he and Sydney were roommates, and Sydney hated him. They recall an embarrassing memory of Jedidiah doing interpretive dance to the Skyrim soundtrack, and then Joshua recalls when Sydney used to throw cafeteria hot dogs on the ground and Joshua would pick them up and ask if he would date him now, and Sydney would respond by laughing and calling him terrible names. Finally, Jedidiah asks them both to drop the charade of reminiscing and tell him why they're really there, and they express that they are worried about him and feel like the only chance they get to chat with him is during mediation sessions. They both tell him they want to help him and Sydney, but Jedidiah is somewhat resistant, finally saying that he thinks that Sydney has been having secret meetings with The Elephant Man. He expresses his frustration that Sydney doesn't tell him things, and Joshua pushes to know more about the closeness of their relationship and whether or not Sydney and Jedidiah are or have ever been dating. When Jedidiah explains that he hasn't dated Sydney, and also that he feels like Sydney needs him to support and care for him, Joshua tells Jedidiah that he should just be honest with Sydney and really cut him off if he doesn't want to be around him anymore. The session is then interrupted by the Elephant Man proselytizing to the campers outside. Joshua has a medical degree[5]Joshua goes to parties.[5]Joshua wears a retainer.Joshua's retainer is made of Siberian limestone.When he's not at camp, Joshua works at a convenience store. [6] Nurses' Building The Nurses' Building is where Sydney O. Sargent and Jedidiah A.A. Martin work and live while working at Camp Here & There. Sydney describes it as, "on the Southernmost outskirts of the campgrounds, in that quaint little building among the yew berries."[1] It contains Sydney's Study, Jedidiah's Office, and Sydney and Jedidiah's bedroom. The Battle Cabin The Battle Cabin contains the camp's extensive collection of antique weaponry. Mess Hall The mess hall is where the campers eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It contains a main room for eating, as well as Matthew's kitchen and an employee break room with a coffee machine. Administrative Building The administrative building is likely where Lucille works and lives. Bonfire The bonfire is a mysterious fire that is said to, "emanate oracle fumes,"[1] and give "visions of unspeakable calamity."[2] The smell may or may not have the ability to affect dreams. If stared into for too long, the campfire will try to lure the onlooker in. The bonfire transmits not quite words into their mind so much as ideas. According to Belov, it wants to disintegrate people because what it disintegrates turns into food for its visions. The bonfire is strong enough to keep burning even through mercury rain. Underground Tunnels The underground tunnels, also known as SITE3, are, "an extensive network of subterranean tunnels beneath the campgrounds." [3] Within them, a notably large cavern that connects to the ventilation systems in all of the camp's buildings. They stretch on for miles, and even their inhabitants, the macaroni penguins, are unsure just how far they go. Lake Eerily-Gelatinous Lake Eerily-Gelatinous is a large lake on the North side of the camp that is big enough for swimming. It's surface houses The Unknowable Object and it's waters house mutant bacteria. Anyone who stays in the lake too long will have their skin change color (assumingly temporarily) Forest The forest surrounds Camp Here & There. It likely houses The Elephant Man. Churchover Hill A hill located down past the southern side of the camp. At the top of the hill, there is a farm known as The Death Fields. The Sanatorium The Sanatorium, also known as SITE5, is a building at Camp Here & There that contains several stone toilets. It seems that this is the main bathroom of the camp, and the only other toilet is a single one in the Administration Building that is often occupied by  There are mosquitoes that will kill you instantly.
