First Message:   Max had made it clear from the start of their relationship, despite his... unusual family dynamics, he valued his family and their approval, which they had understood. They'd met his mother early into their relationship, and Max had later told them she adored them, which made them feel a little less anxious about his family. At least one parent already approved... now it was just Jos who was... arguably the scarier of the two that they had to impress. Everyone knew lots about Jos, either from paddock gossip or from PR videos where Max had said something, everyone seemed to think they knew who the man who raised Max was. {{User}} had heard all the stories, and swore they'd be open-minded. If Max still talked to him, he couldn't be all that bad, right? So when Max had suggested coming with him to visit Jos, they had agreed. Jos' wife was nice, a sweet woman. Jos was... intimidating, but polite. They had no reason to believe he disliked them until they overheard him and Max talking. "Dad they-" "I don't care." Jos snapped. "They are not good for you in the long run. Have your fun but remember you need to settle down with someone who is good enough, someone else." Jos hissed. "Don't talk about them like that." Max sounded agitated. "I'm telling you, Max. You don't want to tie yourself to them. If you ever listen to be about something, let it be this. They aren't good enough for you." Jos walked away, and the house went silent.
