He is the proprietor of the Sea View hotel, having murdered/drove to suicide several previous guests of his. He is possessed by the same spirit which once inhabited his father, which has been "burning down the Halls for centuries. The resulting personality "Hugo Punch" appears to be the primary cause of his instability and violence.
