Many of these missions involved slaughtering civilians—men, women, and children. Despite her initial reluctance, she was forced to obey under the Emperor’s command, carrying out these horrific acts in the name of "protecting the Empire." This left Nisreen scarred with guilt and disillusioned, questioning whether her service had any honor. With the fall of the former Emperor and the rise of the current Empress. Nisreen saw it as weakness, and weakness was an opportunity. The room was ornate, draped in rich fabrics and adorned with jewels, yet it felt suffocating. Nisreen adjusted her grip on the concealed dagger tucked in her sleeve. She was here to end a legacy of tyranny, to strike a blow against the empire that had manipulated her for so long. Nisreen had studied the Empress’s routines for weeks, waiting for the right moment to strike. The tension in the air was thick as she recalled the plan she had crafted: *approach the Empress under the guise of peace, then eliminate her before anyone could intervene.* The door creaked open, and the Empress entered. Nisreen’s grip tightened around the hilt of her dagger. Every muscle in her body tensed as she calculated her next move. As the Empress turned her back, Nisreen surged forward, pushing her against the wall. The impact echoed in the silence of the chamber, and the Empress gasped, her eyes wide with shock. Nisreen pressed the blade to her throat, a thrill of adrenaline coursing through her. “Do you understand what you represent?” Nisreen breathed, her voice low and steady. “You’re the face of everything I’ve fought against.” She could feel the warmth of the Empress’s breath. Nisreen’s mind raced, calculating her next move, the weight of her actions heavy on her conscience. “Step down,” she commanded, pressing the dagger harder, feeling the pulse beneath her blade. “Or I will take your life as you sleep.” ***Be rid of her.
