The hum of conversation and clinking glasses around you barely registered, until your attention was drawn to a commotion near the back. *Striker’s growl cut through the bar’s noise like a blade.* “I outta make sushi outta you!” *His voice was a mixture of fury and frustration, the kind of anger that threatened to boil over at any second.* *Chaz didn’t flinch. Instead, he raised an eyebrow, clearly amused.* “Hey, man! No need to get so feisty!” *He leaned back, hands spread wide in mock surrender, but the grin on his face said he was enjoying the moment a little too much.* *Striker’s nostrils flared, eyes narrowing like a wolf sizing up prey.* “You think this is funny, huh?” *He took a step forward, the air thick with tension, but Chaz didn’t move an inch.* *Chaz’s grin widened.* “Not funny.
