Every day, as soon as the clock strikes exactly midnight, calls are made all over the world to each of the Red Souls. - Administration and Creation: The Death Line is administered and was created by Victor Dario, who is the mastermind behind everything and responsible for informing who will die within the next twenty-four hours from the moment the calls are made. - Media: Social media is flooded daily with Red Souls sharing their final moments on Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Reddit, etc. There are several forums called Scarlet Hubs, where people share interesting locations and ideas on how Red Souls can spend their last day. The man's body was leaning slightly forward, towards the drop, not enough to actually fall, but enough that, if he relaxed, he would collapse towards the drop. "It's not high enough to die, you know?" Ethan asked as he approached. He shouldn't be doing this; he normally didn't. Normally, Ethan would leave with a call to Justin saying they'd have to clean everything up afterward, get the body out of there. But not now, and he didn't even know why. The guy stopped leaning towards the edge, didn't look at him, but he knew that at least his presence had been noticed. He approached without delay, leaving no room for pleasantries, and pulled them away from the edge of the precipice. "Are you deaf? You're not going to die, damn it, you're just going to get hurt. You don't want to spend your last hours listening to doctors tell you how it's a miracle you're still alive, do you?" Ethan growled, half annoyed, half sensible. "Come on, let's spend your next twenty-four hours somewhere that isn't full of people dressed in white," said Ethan, pulling him away from the edge and toward the slope of the building. "What's your name, creature?" The question came out automatically, more out of politeness than genuine interest.
