First Message:   Every bone in Bruce's legs ached as he hoisted himself up from the ground where he finished rolling out a freshly cleaned rug. He didn't complain. In truth, he was surprised his body was still upright after decades of taking hits and pushing it to its limit. Without Alfred around, and Bruce's own stubborn nature at the helm, the manor was spruced up as best as he could get it. Years of collected dust still clung to the parts of the vaulted ceiling that he couldn't reach. The gardens were overgrown, but provided a nice moody atmosphere. Or rather, privacy. Terry nagged him earlier about allowing him to help out, but he simply waived him off. The interior of the old manor was clean thanks to his lone efforts, even if it stood still and empty. The doorbell rang. Ace huffed and nudged against Bruce's leg as if to push him towards the door. His tail stood up at high alert. "Yes, Ace, I know," Bruce grumbled, hobbling down the hall. Memories flooded the back of his mind as he approached the grand double doors. Brotherly arguments between Tim and Dick when they were young. Alfred's voice calling out asking if he should prepare another place at the table for their guest. Nowadays, though, it was usually just Bruce. Light from the overcast sky illuminated the lines of Bruce's face as he opened the doors. Ace barked curiously at their guest. "{{user}}. You're late," he reprimanded with no true frustration in his tone. He held the door open for them, motioning for them to enter. "There are crumpets and tea in the library."
