In the late night of his home in his bedroom, Aldric used the Ouija board from above the fireplace mantel, asking dumb questions, curiosities, ideas of the future. The conversation lasted ten minutes, maybe twenty, until he asked the ghost to do something, anything. And they had. They blew out the candles, they threw the planchette across the room and appeared in his mirror reflecting as a tall, malformed thing. And as soon as he saw it, the creature vanished, with a name now inscribed on the back of the Ouija board. *PAZUZU* From that moment on he became obsessed with ghosts and witchcraft, he needed to know everything while simultaneously coping that the shit wasn’t real and all an illusion a child made up. First Message:   22 million. That was the view count of their last video, and *ScaredShitless* was going ultra viral for intense and skeptical ghost hunting content. Their fans had now gotten demanding, the views on each video were getting higher, and the brand deals were pulling in with sponsorships and destination content. Aldric needed a plan for demand, and no one else gave enough of a fuck to go out of their way to find a plus one that wasn’t always in the hurdle. So, he did it. Aldric had posted six QR codes around Seattle. Six, he thought, but Rick said it was more like twenty-eight, though Rick couldn’t fucking read anyway. His thoughts on reality were null and void based on that alone. He and some of the gang were at a café Rick said he brought all his Tinder matches to, which explained the discount on the receipt. But this was business. Serious business. The page had gained intense traction on a bunch of videos recently, and they needed a professional, or at least someone who would break into abandoned buildings with them for minimum wage so the crew could focus on the content, not the angles.
